I had an amazing experience at the hostel, I always felt at home. Working with Ricardo was easy going and nice. The hostel is a nice place with an amazing vibe where you can meet people from all around the world and share with them.

The DayTripper gets you involved and makes you feel part of something. The connection that was made with the other volunteers and the fun every day was the basis of my experience. Richard tries to create a positive and motivating environment and he does that very well, he is super helpful and kind.
I recommend everyone to pass through Tulum and to stop by the DayTripper!

I stayed at DayTripper for 3 weeks as my first Workaway and I recommend it to anyone! Ricardo is a super nice and understanding guy, the hostel is at a great location in the Center of Tulum. Overall a positive and fun vibe and work barely feels like work. I'm super grateful for the experience! <3

We cut our volunteer trip short for not being a drug free environment. the host stated he consumes with other volunteers. This hostel is under police surveillance! he expected us to do more than others bc we're from WP. There are bed bugs in the building. It's a loud place and not chill. Ricardo doesn't want Mexican travelers staying in the hostel because they look suspicious. We witnessed 2 volunteers that almost fought and 1 of them eventually got naked in front of us. We addressed the concerns with Ricardo and he didn't care. Go elsewhere especially if you're a solo woman traveler.

My experience at the Daytripper couldn't be better!! I met the most amazing people from all over the world, I created long-lasting friendships and went to all the best cenotes and beaches with the people from the hostel. Ricardo the owner is a really nice guy, he makes sure we are all happy and safe at the place. The breakfast is one of the best things that the hostel has, especially on Saturdays when they make chilaquiles, literally my favorite! Thank you Day
Tripper for being my home.
