Working at the hostel was a wonderful experience. Your tasks are given to you at the start of each day and after a bit of learning, you should be able to take care of them rather quickly. 西門 is a great area. The hostel is located in one of the best areas of Taipei and it's convenient to travel anywhere. The volunteer accommodation at the hostel for females was clean and safe. The workload is also evenly distributed within the other volunteers and the hours are shorter than expected. However if you're looking for a more social hostel with organized events, this might not be the place for you! I was able to converse in Chinese with the local staff there which was helpful & they always take good care of their volunteers which I appreciate :

The hostel is located in a very central location, making it very easy to get around the city and travel throughout the island. The bunk bed is spacious and offers plenty of privacy. The work is fair. The front desk staff is cool, inviting you to check out local spots. Overall, an interesting first experience in Taiwan.
