The hostel was my first volunteer experience through Worldpackers and I absolutely loved it ! May, the owner is a very kind and welcoming woman who often makes lunches for the volunteers. She always has a smile on her face and though she only knows a little English she makes you feel welcome. The work was straightforward and during a good time. You still got to sleep in and then have the rest of the afternoon-evenings free. If I'm ever in Taipei again I would stay at the hostel as a guest!

Situated in the touristy center of Taipei, the hostel offers a convenient location to travel around the city. The works are straightforward and easy, and you only need the attention to detail and the heart to finish your daily chores dutifully. There are many days when the work ends earlier, and May cooks a lot of lunches for us to enjoy. And Chloe, Will, and Vivian are all willing to help out and awesome people. Although Ximen was not exactly my cup of tea (due to congestion), the hostel is indeed an awesome place to volunteer and experience life of Taipei. Recommend 1000 times!!

From the moment I arrived at the hostel I felt incredibly welcomed by both the Taiwanese staff and volunteers. I couldn't have asked for a better first experience on WorldPackers. Though the workload depends a lot on how many volunteers are working, it never exceeded 3 hours a day. My time there was impacted a lot by quite a severe medical problem, but the team were incredibly understanding and even helped me get the treatment I needed. The hostel itself is in an amazing location for exploring Taipei, and you definitely won't have to try hard to make new friends whilst you volunteer here.

Thank you so much for helping out here at our hostel and sorry we missed the deadline to write you a good review.
You are such a helping, friendly and amazing person! You would still try to help the others while you were sick which really shows how helping and thought you are! We hope you liked it here and enjoyed Taiwan. All the best to you and your future travels and hope we can see each other again :)

This hostel has the most perfect location, right in the heart of Ximen, the most fun area of Taipei. The staff are nice and friendly - sometimes we'd hang out together and have meals. The managar even threw an amazing New Year's feast for us. The workload never exceeded the agreement. Mopping, cleaning, making beds, etc. basically standard work at an accommodation. Usually it's quiet here. Overall, I had such a good time doing a month here, that I decided to volunteer at the hostel again after touring the south of Taiwan.

The hostel's hostel was an amazing place to be and was an amazing experience. the hostel's hostel was my first experience with helping out a hostel and there is nothing bad to say about the experience. All the managers are amazing and will help you out if needed. The work load is not bad at all as most of us finished our chores earlier than expected. The chores are not hard at all. May “the head manager” is an amazing with lots of energy and will provide lunch a couple times a week. I would highly recommend experiencing the hostel's and Taiwan! Would love to go back to help them out again in the future!! ❤️❤️

Not only is he a good coworker, but he is a great friend. When we speak of Tim that thought across the mind immediately. We're truely recommend Tim. He was motivated and always made himself available to assist the team. Tim has shown us how to be a responsible and efficient volumteer at our hostle. In the other hand he exactly knew how to enjoyed the Taipei during his stay! To sum up Tim is lively, kind-hearted, sophisticated, and reliable. Honestly we're looking forward he could keep come back to join us in the future if he wanted!
