The farm was a great environment for me. It forced me to push my boundaries doing some intense work, while also providing a clean and comfortable space to relax in. It was the perfect work/life balance and the views were beautiful. All meals were included, and a lot of the food is grown right on the farm. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a secluded space to reconnect with nature and yourself, learn something new, and meet some great people :)

Las the project is a 5-star experience if you have the right expectations and goals. I needed a slow & peaceful break in nature with lots of free time, plus I was excited to learn about tropical farming tasks & environmental sustainability, and that's exactly what Las the project provided. Clint and Andrea were kind hosts who enjoyed sharing their knowledge when asked. There were a few volunteers there, but that's not always the case. In summer, we worked on upkeep projects (shoveling, clearing hills of tall grass & weeds, plastering, some harvesting) as opposed to the spring busy season (harvesting).

A great place to disconnect from it all, and stroll down country lanes collecting mangos, guava and other more exotic fruit. Lots of extra time to read or work on other habits and past times.

I felt in love with the project since my first day here, and with one month volunteering for this project I can't say anything but come and experience it yourself! Clint is a great host that communicates and provides everyone the resources and directions they need to get the best of your time here. Expect immersing yourself into a fruit forest where you'll learn and practice how to create social and environmental impact everyday, exchange knowledge, food, and culture with people from all over the world and have a lifetime experience that I'm sure you'll never forget 🙌

I recommend because it is beautiful and easy to do your own thing here, but make sure you know what you're getting into. If you're coming in spring you will be harvesting but the world off-season is mostly farm upkeep. The plants are like 95% fruit trees, so you'll be doing a lot of tree care on the side of a mountain, machete work and the like. Bring grungy clothes! Clint and Andrea are nice people who keep to themselves, and respect runs like a two way street. I didn't leave the property but one time in a month. There was lots of free time and places to explore.
