I had a lovely first volunteering experience in Denmark with the home. The family were really kind and welcoming throughout my stay, including me in any family activity. Every morning Pernille communicated any tasks she needed me to do. None of the daily tasks were very difficult or above my skill set. And I still had time to myself. They have a beautiful family home just outside the city with plenty of nature to enjoy. The area was not difficult to get to and they kindly provided me with a bike for shorter distances. Overall, I had a wonderful summer with them! Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful stay with Pernille and her family! They are incredibly kind, the kids are polite, and their dog is adorable. Pernille is an excellent, organized host who communicates the workload early each morning by message so you can plan your day.
I was especially grateful for her flexibility when I had to change my work days last-minute due to travel. The family loves cultural exchange and trying new things—they enjoyed my cooking and we had great chats about our different habits. The house is spacious, clean, and very cozy. Highly recommended for a warm stay in Denmark!

Lisa is such an incredible person and we enjoyed having her here. She might come back another time. She is an amazing cook and good at doing house chores. She can make a bed perfectly like at a hotel. And she did a perfect job at making food that accomodate all our different diet needs. We enjoyed hearing more about her background and playing basketball with several times. All the best with your future in hospitality Lisa and thank you for everything!.

It was a super nice experience. The family was really kind and the tasks were mostly cleaning and cooking. They are not picky eaters and also recommended recipes, so I didn’t have to guess. The area is beautiful, however quite remote, but they did provide a bike and there’s a bus coming every hour as well. They were always happy to give advice on free time possibilites (also there were some relly interesting books as well) and included me in the family basketball matches and table tennis, which were quite fun:)

Kini is super nice and kind. She is a much better cook than she thinks herself. She is a booklover and read almost all the English books we had so that was so inspiring. She is very devoted to her faith and that was also so inspiring because these days it is so rare. We wish her all the best.

It was my first volunteering experience abroad, and I couldn't have chosen a better family than the home. Their home is beautiful, and the place where they live is peaceful, simple, and lovely. From day one, they made me feel at home. The tasks were varied but never too demanding, leaving time to relax, read, or explore. They involved me in daily life, taught me a lot about Denmark, and helped me improve my English. Pernille is caring, kind, and an inspiring yoga teacher. I'm truly grateful and highly recommend this experience.

Marta is a wonderful girl. She is really into baking so if you like cakes, she is your girl. Ask her to make a lava cake. Marta wants to be a teacher and I am sure that the kids will adore her. She is so sweet and positive. Her English is not the best but that is why she is traveling and it was no problem at all. We wish Marta all the best and hope to see her again.

I had a lovely time staying with Pernille and Sven. They were very welcoming and flexible. Their home is beautiful but in a very small town with not much to do so it's perfect for when you need a break from the travelling life for a bit

It was the most amazing experience ever! The tasks were simple, changes every day, what is amazing to provide more experience. I was invited to play basketball and paddle tenis with the family, and was amazing, I had so much fun! Pernille was perfect, so kind and lovely, she became my example as woman, mom, entrepreneur and house manager. I love her energy and her principles and loved to learn from her! I 100% recommend her and her family, we had our meals together and talked about a lot of things. They are kind and supportive. Thank you for the staying!

Nanny is great. She gave us many new ideas about how to organise our home better and she is great with tidying up and cleaning. We had fun playing basketball and paddletennis with her.

If you're looking for a home away from home, this is the place! It felt like a staycation while I was there. You get a lot of time to yourself after completing the tasks, which were just things you would normally do at home, like folding laundry, washing dishes, cleaning. All tasks were easy and straightforward, and Pernille gives you a list of things to do for the day which makes time management very easy. You can spend your free time going to the towns, visit the beach or train into Copenhagen! It makes a great first time volunteering experience!

Kin was amazing to have with us. She is, like us, introverts so she liked it being quiert and did not mind us working a lot. She is independant and could easily do the tasks and think for herself sort of speak. She was our first volenteer from Canada and we learned a lot about her home during our meals. We wish her the best.

I had a great time with the home family and do recomend this experience. If you're looking for a peacefull stay meanwhile you help with daily chores, get involve in the culture and practice your english, this opportunity is for you. All were super friendly with me, Pernille and Sven were there, always willing to help me or give me advice. The kids were in between of school and other activities, but got the chance to know them a little bit as well. Foxy is a lovely dog, enjoy going out for walk and recieve massages. Feel like home in here, thanks for everything and hope to see you all again 🫶✨

Kind and beautiful home with views of the fjord. Forest nearby too making it a lovely place to explore. Copenhagen is about an hour away by train.

Each evening / following morning, you are given a list of tasks for the day. You prepare lunch and dinner, which are enjoyed together with the host, followed by cleaning up. Creativity in the kitchen is welcomed. The environment was friendly, with some funny moments.

All the best, enjoy vacation!

My experience was generally positive. A good part of your day is spent in the kitchen, rewarding if you enjoy cooking!

Abby is such a wise and mature soul. She is way older than her physical age and it has been a blessing to have her with us. We had so many unusual talks and we really enjoyed having her with us. She is so much fun and did all the tasks well. Thanks Abby and have fun skiing in Austria.

The family was very polite, the home was safe, and the area was STUNNING. With that said, I would only recommend staying with them if you wanted to learn English, or if housework aligned with your career goals. Based on their profile, I definitely expected this position to be similar to that of a nanny. If you're from the U.S., this is most similar to a live in maid position. The kids are 14 and fluent in English, and the parents just want help with house work. Work days for me were roughly 5-7 hours. To me, working wasn't worth the price of the plane ticket if I couldn't do childcare.
