Amazing experience, it will stay in my heart forever. Not only you learn a lot over there, but the host is incredible. He is kind, passionate and a great friend! I recommand this place to anyone who wants to experience the rural life in japan, make new friends, have a environment impact and learn the farmhive management. The place that you stay is nice and the work is physical but we have a lot of rest and small hours. Perfectly balanced! You have plenty of time to explore the city and do you own things after morning work.

My time spent at Aki'sthe the farmwas easily 2 of the most incredible weeks of my life! I had so much fun learning all about honeybees and what it takes to be a beekeeper. Aki is incredibly knowledgeable and always had an answer for my questions. As long as you don't mind lifting hives occasionally, the work is very easy and fun! We usually worked from 7:30 till lunch time and then had the rest of the day to do our own thing. Overall, it was very relaxing and a great way to experience rural Japan. Thank you Aki, Tombo, and Akane for your hospitality - I hope I can come back soon! :)

Visiting Aki and thethe the farmin the wintertime is definitely not recommended, but still, if you want, Aki is a super host who will make your stay comfortable. Being proactive is key while working with Aki; his household is big, and he is alone and can't handle everything, even though he never asks for help besidesthe the farmtasks. It is always welcome to help around and clean the mess in the garden or house. He cooks delicious meals, and the Tokushima area has a lot to offer culturally. As a superhost, Aki is always ready to take you around to the local cultural attractions.

The work itself is no joke. I grow up in the city and never have been handy before. I got to learn so much knowledge about the farmkeeping. Aki patiently explained my questions and showed me how to use tools for each type. During the day off, Aki took us for hiking (and eat cup noodle on the top of the mountain) and swimming in the river and ocean. Aki cooked delicious lunch during work days. He also took us to restaurants or buy bento boxes in the supermarket some days. Aki's recommendations are always good! We also met Aki's friends and had fun time together. I appreciated and enjoyed here!

I had a wonderful time learning about the bees and making a difference. Aki's passion and dedication to nature and the wellbeing of the farmpopulation is evident. I gained so much knowledge from his years of experience, and he always encouraged questions. Tasks were varied and covered all aspects of the farmcare. the farmis rough and ready - prepare to get hot, dirty and encounter bugs of all kinds - but it's a genuine and rewarding experience for those who aren't squeamish. Aki took us on adventures in beautiful places during off days. It was an unforgettable opportunity I will always treasure.
