I spent five weeks volunteering, and it was one of the best experiences I've had. There is good communication with Katrin and Johnny, both care about the volunteers and how the work is done. York is a lovely place to explore, with plenty of nature and charming riverside walks. I definitely recommend this experience!

It was my first volunteering experience, and I feel lucky to have done it with Katrin and Johnny. The tasks are simple; you get advance notice about the work, and you have plenty of free time to explore York and the surrounding area. The hosts are flexible, and I really felt that they were to support us with anything we needed. I shared the accommodation with a colleague, and we were comfortable. I recommend this volunteering experience if you want to get to know this nice area United Kingdom and If you want immersed in the local culture I hope to return soon. Thanks Katrin & Johnny!

It was my first experience on Worldpackers and couldn’t be better!
Jhonny and Katrin were amazing hosts, always ready to help. The work hours were not heavy and the tasks are simple.
York is a lovely city! The architecture and atmosphere are very nice. The place is just 10/15 - minute walk away from the city center, the train station is close as well.
Hope return in the future and I really recommend this position!
