In one hand, I don't regret at all of coming here, I had so much fun working with Estelita, Miri, Lauri, Cristi, Kathy and the other volunteers, it was such a pleasure meeting you :D I MISS YOU GIRLS!!!!!

In the other hand, I would not repeat it, due to in my point of view they win more than we do. I want to be honest, I think the amount of work is not fair for simple volunteers and part of the Staff wasn't welcoming with us. Although, It's true they were clear with the tasks and conditions since I applied for the project.

After all, thank you for the experience!!! :))

The staff at the Flying Pig Hostel is amazing! They immediately made me feel welcome and they are truly a big family.

Communication was very easy, swapping shifts was never an issue and management was always there in case there were any problems at all.
I shared a room with 5 other Worldpackers, the beds were nice and we all had space for our luggage.
Cleaning 30h/week is in fact pretty exhausting but work hours were never exceeded, and the tasks were as agreed.

I ended up leaving earlier for personal reasons but everyone was very understanding and I am very thankful for this experience.

Being part of the Flying Pig's family was an awesome experience. The hostel was a safe place to me since I arrived there. People from staff are really nice and they care about you. You are part of the family. Do not worry about the tasks, they train you to know how to do it and are not complicated. However, you have to be willing to be a hard-worker and being motivated about the tasks :) I'm gonna come back!!🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

I recommend staying at the Flying pig, it was one hell of a good decision and experience!
The hostel itself, has this unique vibe that’s so hard to find in other places and you can thank the staff for that! They care about everyone, and never miss an opportunity to have fun. Including having fun WITH the guests. I stayed for two months and it took me less than a week to feel safe and at home in the hostel.
The tasks are the only reason why I’m not giving 5 stars. 30h/week is very tiring and it takes some time to get used to the rhythm, but once you got it, it starts being easy and fun!

Even though I didn't stay long at the Flying Pig, I had a lot of fun. The team is fun, full of outgoing people, the hostel is a fun place to live and there is always someone to hang out with or talk to. The staff was clear about the tasks, I had the feeling everything was so well organised for new volunteers to understand quickly what needs to be done. The tasks are easy and clear and you get plenty of advantages like discounts on drinks for example. One thing : only the breakfast is included, for the rest you'll get some money to buy your own food and cook. If you wanna have fun, go there!
