The Experience

Hi! We are a group of people who love to live in nature and try to enjoy the good things in life. Winters are more chill - we clean, make renovations, prune trees, garden, etc. There is a good little community here, so best if you are social and like to hang out and meet people from around the world. We are an eco-hotel and are working hard towards a more sustainable world. Rules: No smoking

My stay at the castle has been amazing. The work with the olive harvesting was fun and the 5 working hours was respected. The surroundings are incredible and the vibe was very nice. There is a distance to the town but there is a bus stop close by. I can really recommend working at the castle and I would love to go back:)

It was my first time using Worldpackers and it couldn't be better! Stefanie respect the five hours agreement and the five work days (and she was really flexible about eventual changes), in the days that the castle was hosting an event we were mostly responsible for dish washing and cleaning castle areas and in the others days we did the harvesting and gardening. The best part is the people working there, I met amazing people and really connect with myself. It was a amazing experience, you just have to be aware about the distance from the city that makes difficult to visit others cities.

Very nice experience. The castle is beautiful and the sunsets are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The tasks are easy. I applied for the kitchen, even though all I could do was wash the dishes. We ate super well, the best pizza in Italy without a doubt!!! I met super nice people with whom I hope to keep in touch. Stefany and Rasmus are very friendly, they always had a good treatment. I had to leave before and they understood and accepted without problem. Place to disconnect from the routine, rest, and enjoy nature. I recommend it!!

Stefani and Rasmus were very laid back hosts and this castle is a dream! My time here was only a couple of weeks, but the work was not hard at all, mostly dishwashing. Such a unique setting with travelers from all over and fun events you get to help out at. Bring a book or two and some hiking boots as there is a lot of down time!

The highlight of this stay was some of the people that we worked with. Stefanie and Rasmus were extremely wonderful and they made it known that they cared about our comfort and safety during our stay. If you choose to volunteer here, be very aware of how isolated you are. They were flexible with our ability to save up days off to travel a bit while we were there, but it really is a trip to get to civilization. The view is spectacular, but I would advise a one month stay before you will get the itch to travel again. If you go in the summer months, the mosquitoes are killer.
