The Experience

Hi! The olive harvest will be done in October/November 2024! We are a group of people who love to live in nature and try to enjoy the good things in life. Winters are more chill - we clean, make renovations, prune trees, garden, etc. There is a good little community here, so best if you are social and like to hang out and meet people from around the world. We are an eco-hotel and are working hard towards a more sustainable world.

This was my first volunteer experience with worldpackers and I had a great time! The castle is beautiful and we had our own house for the volunteers, which was fully equipped, so I found it very comfortable. The working hours were respected, so we could explore Florence and also head to the beach if we had free time:) Anna did the schedule for us so if we wanted a few days off in a row it was also possible. But the castle is quite remote and quiet, so its the best for relaxing. Everyone was very welcoming and Anna helped a lot if we needed something sorted out.

I don't have enough words to describe this amazing experience! I felt like in home with a new family, all the people in the castle are beautiful and kind, the castle is amazing with the best views and nice spots, the volunteers house is much better now, we had an incredible place with good beds, a big kitchen, nice bathroom and all the things we need. Food is amazing. The work depends, sometimes is a just a little bit harder but sometimes is so easy, it depends of mindset as well. I'll never forget my first place, I'm so sad about leaving but I'll come back! 100% recommended🥹❤️‍🩹

I had a lovely time here, it's truly a gorgeous place. I must say my experience is with big credit to Ana and Olga who I worked closest with, they are a lovely family along with little Neva. Ana made the effort to take us to a local winery and restaurant when we had free time to get out of the castle. I had also chance to visit Firenze and Cinque terre during my stay as Ana does her best to make sure you get two days off together. Hours are respected, tasks are fair and your hard work is always recognised and appreciated, I hope to come back one day - thanks for a memorable month!!

Couldn't have asked for a better first Worldpacker experience! Such a great crew of volunteers/staff and a truly beautiful environment. Work: During the weddings we would help with dishes. If we were between guests, we would clean the guest rooms (sheets, floors, surfaces, etc). Other tasks included gardening taking care of the chickens. Accommodation: volunteers stay in a cabin on the property that has a private room with 3 bunk beds, a main area with more bunks, a bathroom and a kitchenette with a microwave, burner, mini fridge and kettle. The sunsets are out of this world!

The title of the Worldpackers is a very accurate description of the place. The people are really cool. They are all very nice and welcoming. However the castle is indeed really old. This means that the hot water runs out sometimes, the electricity goes out sometimes, there is not a lot of WiFi (none at the volunteers place), and the kitchen and bathroom are not state of the art. I also think you have to get lucky with the other volunteers (I got very lucky). If that's not a problem for you, I 100% recommend this place. I had the best time!
