I felt very welcomed here and had a truly familiar, almost family-like experience. All the staff were very friendly and supportive, and they always helped me whenever I needed something. The host was very kind, respectful, and accommodating, and all agreed working hours and conditions were respected. The tasks were clearly explained, and whenever I had questions or needed help, someone was always there for me. I really appreciated the supportive environment, not only regarding the work but also on a personal level.

Good things - very central location and the hours and schedule are very clear with manageable work.
Bad things - The rooms were fine but had no privacy and we were two women sharing with men which made us feel very uncomfortable especially after one night where a guy vomited everywhere and was acting wired. It says breakfast included on the website but it was not and the host treated us like employees with no pay, only speaking to us about work and being pretty unfriendly. They were difficult to contact, did not respond to our messages and weren't available to let us in when we arrived.

I couldn't be more grateful for the experience I just had, I got to meet the most incredible people because of it. The work I had to do at the reception was pretty easy and allowed me to work remotely at the same time. Bacalar is such a magical town, with lovely people, I got to see the most beautiful places there and since I had two free days a week I also had the opportunity to travel to other places. Francisco was really patient and welcoming. I would definitely come back, thank you the hostel.
