I had an amazing experience here! This was my first volunteering experience and I loved it so much that I applied twice.
Ioanna is an incredible host. She communicates very well and is always there when you need help. She also gives great recommendations on places to visit in Belgium.
The kids are super curious and ask lots of questions. You find a nice balance between having fun, playing with them, and giving them attention.
I got along really well with the other volunteers and the atmosphere felt like home. Plus, Ioanna cooks delicious food! :)

I really enjoyed my month here! Ioanna is a fantastic host, she is direct and straightforward in her communication, which I truly appreciated because it made everything run smoothly. She's always ready to find solutions and to meet us volunteers halfway when it's possible.
I made wonderful friends with the other volunteers and the warm atmosphere made me feel at home.
Regarding the tasks, having a bit of childcare experience definitely helps. With the kids is all about striking the right balance between being fun and engaging while maintaining boundaries and earning their respect.

As the parents said themselves, they are kids that need attention, once you get used to it, the experience gets easier. Anything you need call the parents and remember to have time for yourself to have fun too. The house keeping of the hostel is very easy and the city and the volunteers that are at the hostel are amazing.

It was an absolute pleasure spending my afternoons with the kids. They are polite, fun, and always listened to me.
I also helped around the hostel by making beds and cleaning. The work is quick and easy, and Ioanna is always there to help with any questions.
Sakis and Ioanna treated me incredibly well, with great communication and amazing food! I learned so much from this experience and highly recommend it to everyone.
