This is my second time in the shelter and I really hope I can someday come back again. As always, Marco and Elisa make you feel very welcome and respect the agreed working hours. You will love working with the dogs. You will most likely be with other volunteers from around the world. There have been some improvements in the house volunteers share, which is appreciated. The first time I came here was during the winter time, and I still loved Liguria; but I have to say that being able to go to the beach this time has been perfect. Thank you Elisa, Marco, Bea and the people at Bawuilla!❤️

My stay with Marco and Elisa was amazing! They are such friendly, warm and supportive people! Always want to make sure you feel comfortable and have a good time. I really enjoyed working with dogs, it didn't feel like a work at all! Working hours are respected and you have plenty of free time to explore the area, try delicious food and just relax☺️ All in all, I'm so thankful for every moment spent together, joy and laughter shared, and conversations! My hugest recommendation for everyone who loves animals and nature, and wants to make meaningful connections!!

My stay was great! The location was beautiful, the dogs lovely and you can so easily get around and see other parts and city’s nearby. And also of course the hosts who were very accommodating, encouraging and helpful! (The only thing I would note is that the accommodation needed some work but I believe they renovated a lot after I left so in that case there is nothing to worry about.)

I really enjoyed this experience, the hosts clearly explained the work at the start and their expectations so it was stress-free and enjoyable. Once main jobs were completed I just had to keep the dogs company, I miss working with the dogs already! The hours were always respected, often I finished early. It was very easy to get around and see the area with bikes they provide or public transport. I had lots of free time and recommendations from the hosts. Elisa and Marco are amazing people and welcome you into their family, I felt comfortable bringing up problems I had. Grazie mille a dopo! ♥

A great experience that I would definitely recommend! The work was enjoyable, and I always felt respected. Marco and Elisa are wonderful hosts. They do everything they can to make you feel comfortable, are very responsive to feedback, and are always available to help. I shared many great moments with them and we had lots of fun together. The town and the sea are also easily accessible by bike.
For the sake of transparency, I feel I should mention that the accommodation was very dirty when I arrived, and there was significant mold on the walls but I keep a very positive memory of my stay 🤗

This was my second time here and I can truly say that Elisa and Marco are absolutely wonderful. They are so kind and welcoming. If you need to talk to them about anything they are happy to listen and to help. They truly want you to have a great experience. The job is so much fun!! A lot of the times, if it wasn't super busy, they didn't even have you work the full hours. (Not that the hours are long anyways). It's about a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop so it's super easy to get around. Grazie mille per tutti, alla prossima :)

This was my first worldpackers experience and it was absolutely amazing!! Elisa and Marco are wonderful people and very welcoming. The work is easy and fun. If you love dogs this is definitely for you. The other volunteers were so friendly, I definitely formed a bond with them (if you see this CIAOO lol) I recommend this place to everyone! It's close to everything and there's many hikes close by that are beautiful. I'd definitely love to come back again.

My experience at the shelter was amazing, this was my first solo travel and volunteering experience and it makes me want to do this for the rest of my life ! Elisa, Marco and Bea are the nicest people, they are funny, caring and are always willing to share anecdotes and tips. The work is also great, I already miss the dogs (I swear I could have fit Carlo in my bag ) Spending time with Elisa and Marco as well as with the other volunteers was great, we had so many interesting conversations about culture and life but we also laughed a lot ! This was a great experience and I can't wait to come back
