My experience at the home involved installing ceramic tiles in a bathroom. The work is challenging and requires construction experience. Additionally, it demands a lot of availability. However, the family is incredible. I loved meeting Yves, Silvia, Alma, and Amaya. You will have a great time with them. Not to mention, the food is excellent.

The experience with Silvia and Yves was great, they are very welcoming people, they showed us around the home and gave us recomendations on what to do on our free days. The activities require physical work so it can be demanding but it was fun to learn how to use the tools and to do other bricolage stuff, the working hours were always respected and Silvia was flexible with the schedule to start earlier if we wanted. The little girls are playfull and somedays we stayed with them drawing. The food was always delicious, I had very a good time :)

Yes I know we had a language barrier but I tried very hard to work with it and to be very kind and helpful but it wasn't enough apparently. Was not very welcoming toward me I know I have alot of skills like cooking and wanted to make the hosts life easier but was always getting blamed for little things. Yes I know the situation the host was in wasn't ideal but I was here to help and seemed like they didn't want it.

Thanks for cooking, on your schedule, waking up late, taking an hour or more to have breakfast, and he left with a coffee spill on the table..

Silvia is an excellent host, I really enjoyed my stayed at her house, food was great, she gave us bicycles, and was really friendly and kind with us. The work is not easy, you have to be really punctual and commit with the job, you also have to be really clean with the working space and tools. You also have to like kids, Silvia and her husband, Yves, have two beautiful little girls that play and run all over the place, and they'll surely play with you. Is very important to have initiative, but you'll get used to it. Oh and is very important to finish what you started.

They are one of a kind. We miss them too. For me, what mattered most, above all else, was the joy and warmth they always shared with my girls, despite everything you helped us with. Yves and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. They still ask about you. Take care of yourselves! We love you very much. A big hug!! P.S. Then please send my regards to their brothers!!!

We can't say enough about Sylvia and Yves. They made us feel at home everyday. We felt like we were apart of their family. They feed us some of the best food we've ever had. They showed us spots and encouraged us to visit the surrounding area on our days off. We made lifelong friends.

The house is a huge construction site, work is underway at all points. I had my own room. My main task was to sand oil paints off a wall. We also brought bulky waste to the recycling center and I did a little gardening. The family was friendly to me and offered to show me local sights or to come with me to Silvia's yoga class. Silvia prepared delicious meals, the plantains were delicious!

Silvia was extremely difficult to work with, which comes as a surprise given the many good reviews. She tried cancelling on me twice after I had bought my plane tickets. I eventually convinced her otherwise, and tried my best to understand her expectations to better work with her. I was commited to do my best, but she was unhappy that I was either too slow(when I tried to be detailed) or too messy (when I sped up to appease her). She went to the extent of saying "Asians are meant to be perfectionists, and you aren't at all!" On the 4th day, she decided to kick me out without prior notice.

I am Yves, the husband. Yes our house is 20 mn by foot from the station but we didn't spoke about pick you up. You presented yourselves as young people with military training and you are complaining about walking 20 min? Really? Shower rules were know before you arrive and accepted, my wife also show you the whole house by video conversation through WhatsApp, so no surprise. There was plenty of ffp1 and ffpw masks for the dust work... Everybody use some when needed. You didn't use that mask you are showObviously it was broken and nobody used it like that. You just took that picture to defame. You stayed in our house what do you know about his renovation? All electricity and plumbing is done by professionals. I am doing myself all the wall plastering and putting the. Tile, ground, painting etc. Worldpackers helped us in destruction works and gardenigs mainly, or some ground works with this who were capable of, working with me. The true is that you and your friend have 2 left hands and no actitud to learn. You didn't want or were unable to hold the disc grinder more than one minute... That's why we ask you to find another place. Neither we kicked you from one day to other, we let you some days to find a place and you found it for the next day... It was your decision. Then you come with all those personal things here on the web to defend yourself... Speakings about my daughter's or that we are racist and bla bla... Come on. I will not respond anymore to your comments and ha I don't think you speak an Oxford english neither.

Listing untrue. Her house is 20mins walk to train station plus a 20mins train. Thus time to Brussels centre is 40mins not 20mins mentioned. Pickup mentioned is false. Language barrier due to Silvia's barely beginner English. Rules such as shower once only after work. Rooms provided has mold, broken furniture and soiled clothes. Safety equipment provided to do certain task was lacking. (mask without front filter, https://postimg.cc/06S8jxrj) They are seeking to renovate their entire house using worldpackers.
