The hostel is such a warm and welcoming place❤️ Sonja was absolutely the sweetest and her communication was amazing. The work is very straightforward and once you get into a groove you are able to complete it within a couple of hours. Basic cleaning jobs around the hostel, like cleaning beds from guests who have checked out and making sure everything looks clean and nice. We had the same tasks everyday and once we finished we were given the rest of the day to do whatever we wanted! Sonja truly is the sweetest person and she really makes you feel home, I would DEFINITELY recommend :)

She provided fridge and pantry space just for staff and a room with compfy beds. I loved my experience and I'm glad I was able to stay with her!

I've had an amazing stay at the hostel. To be honest, it felt more like a shared accommodation than a hostel, which I really liked!! It was very calm and relaxed. Most guests only stay for one night and there are always two volunteers staying at the same time. The hostel is located directly in the old town of Faro, so it's really nice to be able to go for a walk through the city anytime. Sonja is very nice, she really appreciates your work and communicates clearly. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend volunteering here!🫶

I really recommend staying at the hostel! Sonja was amazing host and I felt appriciated the whole stay. Work was really intependent but Sonja always helped if any problems occured. Hostel itself is really nice and the location couldn't been any better! I also loved Faro as a city and will defenitely come back someday!

I had a wonderful time staying the hostel hosted by Sonja! She is very welcoming and nice host, who communicates her expectations crearly, which make everything easy and comfortable. She is also genuinely appreciative of help you provide and makes you feel like your contribution matters. The hotel itself is beautiful, cozy and very well-kept. The atmosphere feel less like a typical hostel and more like staying at friend's house for a sleepover. I loved my stay at the hostel. It was my first volunteer experience and it couldn't have been any better :) Sonja is an amazing host, her communication is very good, she sets very clear expectations and is always there to help with any questions and makes sure you're happy and comfortable. The work itself is very manageable, usually you work with another volunteer but even on their days off you can get done in under 4 hours and have the rest of the day for yourself. I would highly recommend this experience for any girl looking for a calm, slow paced break from her everyday life :)

I volunteered for 3 weeks at the hostel hosted by Sonya. The work was relatively easy - changing beds, cleaning rooms, bathroom, kitchen and doing laundry. Usually around 3-4 hrs depending on how fast you work and how many check ins. The accom is very clean and has a great kitchen. There isn't A/c so if ur on the top bunk it can get quite hot. It's not a very sociable hostel as people often check out the same day. Sometimes when ur on own and there's a lot of check outs, it can feel like a lot! :)

I loved my stay at the hostel. Faro is a beautiful, relaxing town with lots of opportunities to explore surrounding beaches, islands, and towns in the algarve. The work is not too difficult and only four hour shifts so you have lots of free time. Sonja is very kind, responsive, and communicates clearly. I worked here during the summer heatwave, so the volunteer room could be quite hot without windows but other than that everything was lovely. I feel so lucky to have volunteered here, and Faro will hold a special place in my heart forever. Thank you, Sonja!❤️

Staying at the hostel was an amazing experience. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy Faro and the surrounding areas with its beautiful beaches and quaint towns working here was a breeze. Sonja was an excellent host, she is attentive to the hostel and you as a volunteer. Her expectations are very clear and easy to follow. I would recommend this to everyone I felt appreciated for my work it was the perfect first experience
