The Experience

We are looking for somebody who is able to use his hands together with his mind in caring and setting up the surrounding of our homestay. Mainly this are tasks which requires some physical efforts, like helping to build and develop our garden, a new garage, logging wood for the heating and taking care of our small forrest, helping to perform small projects like building dry stone walls and so on.

My stay was fantastic.. the work is a bit tiring, but being surrounded by the forest is a unique experience, and the view is spectacular. The best part of my stay, however, was getting to know Soeren and Claudia.. truly wonderful people, who are very kind, thoughtful and friendly, and who make you feel right at home.

I felt very welcomed from the very first day. Soeren and Claudia are amazing hosts who truly care about their volunteers. The work was a new experience for me, and Soeren always took some time to explain about the nature and the tasks so I learned a lot! Claudia prepared incredible meals that honestly felt like fine dining with big portions and she always made sure I had everything I needed. It was fun and a very rewarding experience overall. I’m really grateful for my time there and would definitely recommend it to other travelers. 🙂

I have no other option than to agree with all the great reviews Sören and Claudia already have. After my stay, I feel relaxed, more at peace, and inspired. The surroundings of their the home are breathtaking, and the house is just as beautiful. They really care About the nature and the sustainability which I admire Sören and Claudia make a great team. The work with Sören was very versatile and he always took the time to explain what we were doing. Claudia's kitchen is just as versatile, and the food was always delicious. I felt safe, comfortable, and truly welcome. I would definitely recommend!

This was my first volunteer experience and it was a great one. It's ideal to learn about sustainability and reconnect with nature, but be ready for hard work and physical effort, there's always something new to do. I learned a lot from Sören and truly enjoyed Claudia's meals. Getting there takes a few transfers, but it's totally worth it. They speak Spanish, English and German, and are very kind. I'd love to return to improve my German and learn more.

I had a fantastic stay with Sören and Claudia. This was my first Worldpackers stay, and it was a great experience. The accommodation was amazing, and Claudia's cooking was always delicious. The work was fun and rewarding, and I was always well supported if I had any questions. They also had two little puppies who were just the cutest, I miss them already. I would highly recommend this experience.
