The Sambaqui experience has been wonderful. Leticia, Matheus and Thiago are incredible human beings, very loving, talkative, patient and flexible; this experience felt like coming home. My second stay at the hostel was simply wonderful. Leticia, Tiago and Matheus are amazing hosts: always open to dialogue, flexible and very respectful of volunteers. The schedules and tasks are well organized and clear, which makes the experience light and very well structured. The hostel ended up becoming my home at the hostel, a special place, surrounded by a lot of nature and with a unique pace of life, where I learned even more about the importance of living in collective. I am very grateful for always being welcomed with open arms.

Volunteering at the hostel was a wonderful and transformative experience, the hostel is a paradise and the hostel is a paradise within another, everything is very clean and organized, as well as being cozy and welcoming, but what really got to me were the people, Thiagão, Leticia and Matheus, they were impeccable in every way, and they taught me even when they weren't trying to teach, I will carry with me for life what I learned and the connections I made!

The hostel is a very beautiful hostel in the middle of a natural paradise that is the hostel's beach. The structure is really chill and very clean, it has an outdoor area to relax and is surrounded by nature, with the waterfall a 7-minute walk away and the beach a 5-minute walk away. Tiago, Leticia and Matheus are always very available and kind and the guests, Brazilian and international, always have a good energy. Shifts are always respected and the tasks are feasible. It is very nice to be able to take a dip before and after working hours. Thank you for this beautiful experience!

My experience at the hostel was something that made the hostel even more beautiful. I felt welcomed, respected and part of something bigger than myself. To those going, fill yourselves with the feeling of community and empathy, for that is how I spent my best days and weeks. Cooking collectively, hiking, meeting new people and places. The work is very relaxed and Letícia, Thiago and Mateus are always open to dialogue. I learned a lot about hospitality, as well as learning really cool things, such as making cake, bread and homemade yogurt. Just go, you won't regret it.
