The experience was enhanced because I got to meet some amazing people - both volunteers and locals. Some of the staff that worked there was nice, some not so much. The host herself didn't show much hostility towards me, but did so to other volunteers while I was there, which made me uncomfortable. She treated them poorly and didn't seem to be open to anything that went against what she wanted. Overall, needs more flexibility and less passive-aggressiveness. Intrigue, hostility, and gossip have no place at the Casarão—especially when coming from some volunteers. Listening to half a conversation and making prejudgments involving staff is unacceptable and does not earn my respect. Great breakfast 🍳 and always good local food around it ,great vibe and awesome people! Everything was great, nice people and really friendly! I hope to get back soon! Everything it is so close ! It was my first volunteering experience and I had a very lovely one. The place is comfortable and the tasks are simple, clear, and organized. I met many people and had an excellent team; especially Karla and José, who made my stay more joyful and comfortable. Also Amon, the inn's kitten, is always keeping me company. 🐱 Darcy is very kind and understanding, and enjoys that you can learn more about how wonderful Natal is. I would definitely come back to this place! ❤️

Darcy an excellent host, then Karlla and José were also always very good with me, they helped me with everything. I spent more time at the reception during the night shift. The work is very calm, the tasks are easy to learn, and I always had all the necessary support.
The volunteer team was amazing. Everyone helped each other and made the days lighter and more fun. I made very special friendships and I was able to practice my Spanish.
Darcy welcomed me very well and was always available to teach and provide support. Karlla brightened every day and, together with Zé, they made the stay even more special. I will definitely miss it! 🥹

I could not have had my best experience if it weren't for the guest house; from the first moment I felt very welcomed, in two days I felt at home. I was lucky to have great people by my side who made this volunteer experience even more special. The routine was very light and the demands were quite calm; they are day-to-day routines. I thank Darcy for the opportunity to have welcomed me and for making their time available. Also, I could not fail to mention Carla and Seu Ze who had the patience to teach us and make the environment much more pleasant, and of course, Amon (the kitten — I miss him).
