Doris and Mario and cat Pige welcomed me very well :D I have no words to thank them for all affection and care they gave me. The tasks were clear, the schedule was great. This opportunity was my first and was better than I could ever imagined. Our moments were precious, cooking and eating, spending time together, talking about our countries, food, culture and life experiences. I like the phrase "Life full of life", and this opportunity was full of life, of great moments. As Doris says we are all connected and I am very happy and grateful for being connected with them. The cultural. immersion it's fantastic, at least we share a meal together, it's nice to hear about their culture and surrounding places where they live. I can tell that's a very lovely & charming couple with a big heart, I felt so good sharing and exchanging with them.
As life is wise we get closer due common interests. I was able to teach other of my skills and build together in self growing.

Both Doris and Mario are great people. I am such a shy person and still they made me fell so comfortable to have nice conversations. They are very kind, polite, attentive and smart hosts. I have learned such different things with them throughout a conversation here and there. They're also very kind giving tips where to go and even hand us a bike we can use to go around. Regarding the task, they are all as described and pretty fair. And if you need help understanding something they are very patient when explaining whatever you need to know. Oh, and Doris is also abMaster chef 💯 great cooking.

This was my first volunteering experience and it turned out very positive. Doris and Mario are both very welcoming, warm, well-organized, friendly and lovely hosts who create a comfortable environment. Communication was easy and open plus the accommodation itself is clean and cozy! The tasks are clear, manageable, balanced and leaving enough free time to explore Arbon and surrounding cities or countries like Austria or Germany. I recommend this experience for travellers who are looking for a calm stay in Switzerland and i, myself, felt happy for being able to experience life like a local.

Staying with Doris and Mario was the best first volunteering experience I could have had. The tasks are mostly your typical house chores and, since they are distributed throughout the week, it is very light and you have a lot of free time. Doris is such an inspiring person to learn from and Mario is a sweetheart and always ready to help out on anything you need. They made me feel at home and I learnt a lot about the swiss culture. In the end, I was actually sad to leave. If I ever come back to Switzerland, I'll make sure to make a stop at the home again.

They helped me from the first moment, including getting to their city and making sure that everything was always pleasant and harmonious. They share their anecdotes, and beautiful travel experiences from around the world. I had a wonderful time with Doris and Mario, P, the cat, and Doris Mother. There home is gorgeous and the most clean home I have ever visited. I learned several new things about housekeeping. How to use a Swifter and cleaning windows properly. I always love to learn something new. Doris and Mario are extremely friendly hosts and make you feel like a member of the family as soon as you meet them. Doris is a superb cook and taught me a couple of recipes that are fantastic and I will use them forever. Arbon is right on Lake Constance and so beautiful. There are lots of things to do also. Thanks
