The Experience
Learn about the lifesyle of a couple in Switzerland. Explore the beautiful surrounding with the lake and the mountains. The daily tasks will mainly be household tasks like cooking, cleaning, tidying up, cat care, shopping, and ironing. If you have manual skills there are also some tasks to do together. we like to spend time together for conversation, especially in the evenings. During day time you will sometimes be alone.

Staying with Doris and Mario was an absolute delight! From the moment I arrived, they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel completely at home. Our lunchtime conversations were filled with laughter, stories, and a wonderful cultural exchange that made my experience even more special. Their kindness and hospitality truly stood out, and I can't forget the lovely Peige the cat, who added to the cozy atmosphere. I'm so grateful for the warmth they shared and will definitely be coming back!

I can't recommend Doris and Mario enough. This was my first Worldpackers experience so I was a little nervous, but they made me feel so comfortable and welcome right away. It really was like another home. The tasks are not complicated and very reasonable, and you can always ask questions. Doris is an AMAZING cook, I had almost zero cooking experience and she helped me learn a lot! You'll also have plenty of free time, and it's pretty easy to get to the surrounding areas, as well as explore their beautiful town. Absolutely have this experience if you can, you'll have an incredible time!

I had a amazing experience at the home! I was warmly welcomed by Doris and Mario, and from the first day I felt like in a home away from home :) The tasks are simple, and they are always willing to help! Maria and Doris helped me with the best tips to explore Switzerland, Germany and Austria! I explored a lot and also I leaned about the swiss culture ! I definitely recommend this experience 100% Thank you for everything Maria, Doris and of course Pigeeee 😸 I hope volunteer with you again one day! ❤️🙏🏻

My experience with Doris and Mario was amazing. They are great hosts who want to practice English and to know people around the globe, in exchange of keeping their house tidy and taking care of their cute cat Pige. The experience of visiting Switzerland for the first time, and with them being the first people I met, will not be forgotten. I totally recommend this volunteer position if you want to immerse yourself locally in the Swiss-German side and would like company of incredible hosts. Thank you Doris and Mario! Hope to see you in Canada, Venezuela or any corner of the world <3

My experience at the home couldn't have been better. I was very well received from the first moment! Doris and Mário are excellent hosts! The house is beautiful and comfortable, the tasks were simple and everything went as planned. The time I worked allowed me to have a good time at the lake and get to know the region. Doris cooks wonderfully and I was able to try several traditional Swiss dishes. Mário was very kind and printed maps to help me make plans for my days off. And Pige, the diva cat was great company in my days. I really felt at home! I just have to thank you! :)
