My experience in RMB was truly incredible. I was not supposed to be in Edinburgh, but a happy coincidence made me find the hostel at a moment in which they needed a volunteer for just 3 weeks, and that's exactly how long it took for me to fall in love with the city and with the other volunteers - they have the coolest vibes and made my stay so much better, since I can be shy and introverted sometimes.- I'm grateful to RMB - Jack and Billie- for this opportunity, it was a blast

I had the best time ever at the hostel! This was my first World Packers work exchange, and it couldn't have gone better! I met people that I will be friends for life with! The work was incredibly worth the stay on the hostel, right in the heart of Edinburgh! Big thanks to Billie & Jack, they are awesome! Such a great location and traveler community! I will be forever grateful for this entire experience— if you are trying to decide whether to go or not, this is your sign you should! Edinburgh is incredibly beautiful & I feel so lucky to have lived there at RMB for a month! :)

Volunteering at RMB has been the most amazing time ever. After a month, Edinburgh officially feels like home & the people feel like family. Jack and Billie are best managers you can ask for: understanding, flexible and kind. The work was super easy and straightforward & the hours were always agreed on. It's as they all say: RMB is a home away from home. Jack and Billie have curated a warm and welcoming space for their volunteers. Everyone was so outgoing and always attending events at the other hostels so there was always something fun to do. The work was clearly communicated and we had plenty of free time in between tasks. Edinburgh is beautiful and I couldn't recommend the hostel more!

I had a great time staying at RMB. The hostel is so cozy and welcoming. Everyone was really nice and helpful.
The working hours were given in advance and were always respected. The tasks were easy to do, leaving you with a lot of energy and time to explore the city.

My experience at the hostel was everything I wanted and needed it to be! I always felt welcome and safe at the hostel, for which I'm unbelievably thankful. The hostel itself really is super cozy and small, making the cleaning very manageable and leaving more than enough time to explore the beautiful city and participate in social events hosted by High Street Hostel. The working hours are also well organized, clearly communicated and fully respected by Billie and Jack. I honestly couldn't recommend this hostel more! I had an amazing time there and made great friends.

My experience at the hostel has been incredible. The number of hours we worked was very good to be able to combine it with visiting the city and surroundings, it gives you a lot of freedom to connect with the local culture. Billie and Jack have been very good managers, they have always been concerned with explaining everything really well and making us feel comfortable and at at home. Finally I want to add that this experience has given me the opportunity to meet wonderful people and I take a great memory of the hostel and Edinburgh 🫶🏻 Thank you for everything!!

This hostel feels like home. This is my second time here and it's so hard to leave everytime. The location is perfect for exploring the city and the hostel's company makes it so easy to explore the highlands. Community and friendship is hardwired into the heart of the hostel and the work expectations are incredibly fair, flexible and respected. I will miss family dinners, hanging with the volunteers, pub crawl adventures and everything that Billie and Jack have created. I part with life long friends and a deep love for Edinburgh

My experience at RMB was AMAZING, I couldn't have asked for anything better. The working hours are fair, communicated well in advance and you have plenty of time to explore. Tasks are well explained, everything is organized and you can always ask if anything is unclear. I loved the evening activities organized by the sister hostels; they give you the chance to meet lots of people and have fun. Billie and Jack da fantastic job and are genuinely committed to making everyone feel part of the family. There's a reason why so many come back…this place is truly one of a kind!
