My boyfriend and I volunteered here for two weeks. The setting is stunning, surrounded by nature, farm animals, and beautiful views. It was also great to practice Spanish, as no one spoke English. They were very generous with meals, which we truly appreciated. That said, the organization could be improved. We had to switch beds four times in two weeks, and a few times we waited hours to be picked up without communication. One day we worked 5 extra hours (though some days had less work). The first accommodation also had no cell service or hot water. Overall grateful for the experience and stay!

I am SO GRATEFUL to the whole family at las the hostel! They made me feel so welcome, and we're very patient with me when my European Spanish meant I struggled to understand at times. They made me feel wanted, part of the family, and useful. They taught me loads, and were really understanding of the limitations I have because of my disability. This project is thoroughly enjoyable, both because of its breathtaking location and the warm reception. It's relaxed and easygoing. They also used my musical skills and gave me a chance to perform as well as the tasks I'd anticipated. Can't wait to return!

I had an amazing time creating content for this host. They have a beautiful eco resort with a scenic view. I could not get over that view. Sunrise and sunsets were amazing. Food was good. The host and family were very sweet, including me In everything. They took me on a boat tour. Had a blast!

I really enjoyed my experience here. Everyone was very friendly and treated me with so much kindness. The work was fair and it is an excellent location as you have access to many hiking locations and many different cities to explore. The room I stayed in was repainted as well which made it look nicer than previously.

The host is very communicative and even if our shedule changed because of our bus had been a big late they welcomed us and give us accommodation lat at night, too. However we left after the first night, because we realised the room that we got has mould and Berni has allergie. The wall is humid and that's why it can have mould. We really wanted to stay and help. The place has beautiful location in the nature with nice view. We felt sorry that we could stay. I think if the owner will remove the mould and give the room a clean coat of paint, the place will be great.

I regret seeing a one-star review when we gave them free lodging and they decided to leave without even cleaning or making the borrowed bed.
We were super communicative the whole time; we even agreed that they would arrive two days late because their bus was delayed, and we stayed awake until midnight waiting for their arrival and keeping an eye on them. It hurts me to see that they gave us one star for communication when, in their comment, they themselves say that we were very communicative.

I would have stayed much longer, without a doubt. From the first day I arrived I felt at home, one more of the family. Sebas, Andres, Dave and Galo, like the rest of the family, are really cool, they would say. I enjoyed the animals, the nature of the place, the local culture, always learning something, from the chats that arose during meals all together, sharing moments, playing basketball (they love it, haha), table tennis, the movies, etc. Always having fun, giving space to the place's personal view, and making us feel part of the project. From day one I felt very welcomed. They are very attentive and kind people, always ensuring that you feel comfortable. The accommodation is good and the place is really beautiful, with an incredible view. The tasks are clear and well organized, and they also respect the agreed schedules. It's also easy to get around, since there is nearby transportation to visit different tourist sites in the area. It was a very pleasant and highly recommendable experience.

It would be unfair not to express my gratitude for the space: I had a private room and the place is really nice to live in during the volunteer program.
However, there were two situations that made me uncomfortable and I think it's important to mention. On one occasion, one of the hosts invited me to sleep with him. And on my last day, knowing that I would be traveling the next day, another of them knocked on my room door at 4 a.m.
As a woman traveling alone, this made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I think in a volunteer setting there should be clear boundaries and respect toward female volunteers.
