Program Details
We are a small family-run hospitality business on the beautiful island of Milos. Our Worldpackers stay together in Adamas, just a short walk from the port and town centre, in a comfortable shared apartment with a spacious room, fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV and a cozy outdoor patio.
The location is very convenient for everyday life. Within about a 5-minute walk you'll find supermarkets, bakeries, cafés, restaurants, vehicle rentals and other shops and services, while the centre of Adamas and the port are also within easy walking distance.
We usually host 2–3 Worldpackers at a time, creating a friendly, international atmosphere and a great opportunity to meet people while experiencing real island life. Outside your working hours, you'll have plenty of free time to explore Milos, enjoy its beaches and discover the island.
Before confirming a stay, we arrange a video call to get to know each other, answer any questions and make sure we're a good fit. We speak Greek, English and Spanish.
Activities & Shift
Most of the work is related to our guest houses in Firopotamos. Laundry and general tasks in Adamas are a smaller but regular part of the work, while vehicles and boats are only occasional tasks.
Guest houses – Firopotamos (main activity):
This is by far the main part of the position. Tasks include preparing and cleaning the houses for arriving and current guests, cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens, making beds, changing linen and towels, taking out rubbish, restocking supplies, and keeping terraces, stairs and outdoor areas clean and organised.
Laundry & Adamas tasks (secondary activity):
At our base in Adamas, tasks include washing, hanging, folding, organising and ironing linen and towels. We use professional ironing equipment and will show you how everything works. There may also be cleaning and general maintenance of the house, patio and outdoor areas.
Vehicles & boats (occasional tasks):
From time to time, you may help wash or clean one of our transfer vehicles. We also operate three rental boats, so occasionally you may help clean a boat, in or out of the water, or assist with simple preparations before a boat trip. No boating experience is required.
Schedule:
Our work depends on guest arrivals, departures and daily needs, so tasks and starting times can vary. We don\'t do split shifts. If you work in the morning, you have the afternoon free, and if you work in the afternoon, you have the morning free. When we have several Worldpackers, we rotate duties and shifts as fairly as possible.
The work is practical and active. We are looking for people who are flexible, comfortable with housekeeping and physical tasks, and happy to help with different things when needed.
Rules
We want everyone to enjoy their time in Milos and feel comfortable and independent. During your free time, you are free to enjoy the island and organise your time as you wish.
What is important to us is respect, responsibility and good communication. During working hours, we expect you to be punctual, responsible and ready to help with the agreed tasks. We also expect everyone to treat our guests, team, property and equipment with care and respect.
Commitment is very important. When we confirm your stay, we organise our schedule based on your agreed arrival and departure dates. Please apply only if you are genuinely able to stay for the full agreed period. If a serious problem comes up, we simply expect honest and timely communication.
The Worldpackers share their accommodation in Adamas, so everyone is expected to keep the house reasonably clean and organised, clean up after themselves and respect the people they live with.
Apart from these basic rules, we want you to feel at home, enjoy Milos and make the most of your experience with us.
