Unfortunately, my experience was cut short by a motorcycle accident on my second day on the island. During the two days I worked, everything went well. The working hours were as described, approximately four hours per day, and the Airbnbs are in a beautiful beach. The hosts were kind to me, and easygoing. Since I was unable to walk, they also helped me get to the port so I could leave the island and return home. Although I didn't get the chance to explore the island or experience the full volunteer stay, I'm grateful for the help I received.

I had a great experience volunteering in Milos. The work was not too demanding, no experience was needed, and the working hours were actually less than expected. Vasilis and Melissa are lovely and great to work with. With them, what you give is what you get back. Everything was very well organized, with clear schedules, and the portal they created made everything easy to follow. Milos is amazing, with beautiful beaches and lots to explore. We also went on boat trips, which was a highlight. I had a really nice time and would happily do it again.

It's incredible how time flew with Vasili and Melissa.!They're both good company, kind, friendly, caring and open-minded.They took us to a village feast where we danced with the locals to traditional Greek music, and they organized an unforgettable boat trip for us.They also invited us to watch the football world cup final together and taste local wine. Regarding the work,I mainly ironed flat bedsheets and pillowcases on a steam press, folded towels or helped get the guest house ready for the guests. There're two checklists Mely guided me through.I explored Milos' stunning beaches in my free time!❤️

This was my first worldpackers experience and I loved it! Vasileios and Melissa were lovely and provided great accomodation for me in the Worldpackers house. The work was 4 hours per day, and they were pretty flexible. I mainly did ironing which I really enjoyed. Working only 4 hours for the day allowed me to explore Milos aswell, which is such a beautiful island!!! I would love to come back sometime. Thankyou guys 💕

I stayed with Vasilios for two weeks and had an amazing experience. He is honest, fair, generous, fun to be around, and genuinely cares about his volunteers. The work is dynamic and often depends on tourist schedules, so some days are busy while others are completely free. In my case, I even had five consecutive days off because my help wasn't needed. Just remember that accommodation is exchanged for your work, so do your part and give your best. You get what you give. If you come with a good attitude, you'll have the time of your life.

MiIos is beautiful. I appreciated the trips to panigiri, mountain, and boat trip. It felt more like a paid housekeeper, part time job as we often worked while the hosts relaxed. Checkouts were especially demanding, doing the kitchen, bathroom and all beds all by yourself. I understand volunteering as helping the host while working alongside you.The accom. has a rusty cooker/oven and poor kitchen hygiene. We also saw ants, spiders and a cockroach... You need to bring your own water, as drinks are not really provided. You know the schedule for the next day usually at 11 pm, so it's hard to plan.

Considering that you asked to stay longer twice and thanked us until your last day, we are disappointed. We showed you the island and offered you our friendship, especially to you, who didn’t work all your agreed hours. We don’t know what caused your change in attitude, and now you are saying unfair and exaggerated things. We were never informed of any problems with the house. If it was dirty, it was because, as Carolina said, you weren't cleaning You turned out to be someone very different.

Milos is truly a paradise, and I loved the opportunity to live and volunteer there. The hosts were flexible with my days off, invited us on island trips, and Meli was always kind and communicative. The work is quite intense and physical, feeling more like a real job than typical volunteering, although the hours never exceeded what was agreed. The accommodation is okay and well located, but could be much better maintained, and there is no food included. Milos is also expensive and difficult to get around without a car, as buses are limited. Overall, it was a good experience!

As a solo female traveler, I would strongly warn others against staying with this host. My experience was consistently disrespectful, belittling, and deeply unprofessional, to the point where it felt. I was not treated with the basic human respect, patience, or professionalism that volunteers should be able to expect. Instead, I was met with frequent yelling, condescending and belittling communication, chaotic and unpredictable scheduling, and behavior that felt genuinely intimidating throughout my stay. I would not recommend for woman.

One of the most memorable experiences of my life. Milos is stunning, staying at the volunteer house is great, and meeting the other volunteers was a highlight. The work itself isn't hard, but communication with Vasilis can be challenging. He has a very specific way of doing things, expects volunteers to follow it & isn't very flexible. This experience is better suited to self-assured, independent people who can hold their ground when needed. I wouldn't recommend it as a first volunteer experience for very young travelers, but it can be a truly rewarding cultural exchange. I had a great time!
