Program Details
All volunteers are hosted in the heart of the Old Town of Budva.
We’ve structured our schedules so everyone works at a comfortable pace with plenty of time to rest. There are no night shifts, late check-ins, early mornings, or late nights—just a well-balanced rhythm that our past volunteers loved.
You’ll get one full day off per week and at least one complimentary tour—usually an amazing boat trip during the summer months!
If volunteers have friends who want to visit them during their stay, this is only possible if requested in the application prior to confirmation. Changing shifts or cities due to a friend's visit is not allowed after the application has been accepted and the volunteer arrives. Everything must be agreed upon before confirming the application. The same applies to any personal requests from the volunteer.
Activities & Shift
Our hostel feature dormitory-style rooms only and are located in the historic center of Budva.
Volunteers are accommodated in a team dorm. Up to 4 volunteers per team dorm.
Shifts run twice a day, lasting 4 hours each:
Morning Shift (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM): Focuses on basic cleaning (rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen) and laundry work. Since we don't have pools, bars, or gardens, the cleaning duties are straightforward and light!
Afternoon Shift (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM): Mainly involves assisting with reception and organizing social activities.
As we do not have an on-site bar or restaurant, meals are not provided for volunteers.
There are no night shifts. This simple setup ensures a low-stress environment, giving you a smooth and enjoyable volunteering experience!
Rules
Volunteers who work online must state during the application process exactly how many hours they work online, at what time of day, and on which days. Only after analyzing this data can we make a decision on the application.
We don't have a private or quiet workspace in the hostel for online work, and working in shared areas like the kitchen or common room isn't permitted. Volunteers may only work outside the premises or in the team dorm with the consent of their roommates.
Volunteers who are not social and do not interact with guests or other volunteers cannot apply. This especially applies to volunteers who use this position solely for free accommodation and a stay outside the EU zone, with no interest in anything other than their personal online job.
Volunteers must be actively involved in guest social activities through group trips to the beach, parties, hikes, and other activities organized by the hostel.
We require volunteers to be responsible and punctual. We will not tolerate inappropriate behavior. Upon arrival, volunteers will receive instructions on their duties. These rules must be strictly followed.
Volunteers who do not adhere to the work rules, neglect their duties, or perform them incorrectly will be given a warning. They will receive further explanations on how tasks should be carried out. However, if they continue to disobey the rules, their stay will be immediately canceled, and their cooperation terminated.
The use of telephones and headphones while working is not allowed.
What we are looking for from volunteers is that they are focused while working, help their colleagues, and be kind to guests.
