My experience at the farm was unique and unforgettable! Daria is a strong and intelligent woman who took good care of me during my stay. I felt welcomed and supported, especially when I needed help with my health. The people I met, including Helena, Gaetano, Carlo, Silvia, Carmelo, Fani, everyone was very welcoming to me and made me feel part of the community 🇮🇹❤️. I loved the cultural immersion, learning about rural life, visiting beautiful beaches, and sharing special moments, like our pizza night 😋. I'm grateful for the kindness, learning and wonderful memories I will take with me❤️

The farm, my heart. Here, I could increase considerably my Italian, I found out how incomparable this marvelous language is. There are books everywhere so speaking Italian is one of the goals to achieve. I learned a lot of new things about recycling, sowing, and cooking. Daria was like a mother to us, I'm so grateful to her and to everything she did for our welfare. I would have liked to have a mean of public transportation to move around, unfortunately there's none and I don't drive. In spite of this, I appreciate the kindness of the residents that could show us several places and beaches.

I am grateful for the experience, and the people I met. It was interesting to experience Italian life in the countryside, with all its different facets , collecting carobs, being around animals, having group dinners and eating fresh veggies and fruits! One downside was the extreme heat during my stay, as well as the lack of nearby buses, which meant that having access to a car was important for getting around and exploring the area. However, the staff, residents, and Daria, were kind enough to take me to Ispica or Modica on my days off

The place is very very hot in summer and should have better amenities for volunteers. Me and another volunteer got sick from the heat for days and then we got judged cuz we didn't work on that days. They should know people can get sick, specially if they don't have good conditions for workers. And, OBVIOUSLY, if they get sick they won't be able to work!!! I also didn't have a single day off in 10 days I was there - cuz I had to leave earlier I had planned and also had extra expenses because of that. If you're not super used to live in a very hot and dry environment, I wouldn't recommend this!

It was a pleasure beeing at the farm. Daria is a very open minded, educated person and has lots of story's to tell. A very familiar Environment. For example most of the time we were eating together. It something feels like you a part of an italian movie. The ability to be flexible and adapt to everyday tasks is very useful. At the same time she cares about the volunteers having a good experience in Sicily. Thanks for having us :)
