As my first volunteering experience, the hostel was amazing! I've made friends for life, and I already want to go back. The managers and other volunteers put a lot of effort into making the hostel welcoming, inclusive and fun for everyone, and everybody who walks through the hostel doors immediately feels it. Volunteering tasks were clear and well organised with a spreadsheet and check list, and managers are approachable and quick to help out. The only downside was that I had to go home! I'm already planning my next trip back <3

If you're looking for a place with tons of parties but also some responsibilities, the hostel is the place. You'll feel like family, and the fun never stops. It's true that it can be tiring (because it really is a the hostel from Monday to Monday), but the experience is totally worth it.

I had a really fun time at the hostel. I did laundry tasks, tours of the hostel and lead activities and pub crawls. I also worked behind the hostel bar which I really enjoyed. If you want to lead certain activities, or take different shifts, the managers are really flexible. The biweekly 9am meetings are a bit jarring 🫠 but the staff and other volunteers are really fun and make the entire experience. The courtyard makes the hostel really social, and allows guests and volunteers to get to know each other. Will miss being here and recommend for any one who wants to the hostel a lot.

I had such a great time at the hostel! I got to help out on Pub crawls, day activities and help lead the beautiful hikes through the mountains of Albania! The staff and guests are very close and there is always tons to do! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to experience Shkoder!

I had such a wonderful time volunteering here! The people are stellar and the location is pretty great! A great place to relax and enjoy getting to know many international travels! A great mix of partying and exploring the surrounding area! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great time.

This was my first volunteering experience and has genuinely been one of the best months of my life. I had the most amazing time with the best people, I have genuinely made friends for life. The work was very reasonable and because the vibe was so great it was usually genuinely fun. I liked that there was some flexibility with shifts to be able to do the things I was better at. There was great support within the team and opportunities to try new things. The staff accommodation and food was great. But the best thing was really the atmosphere. I love you guys, wish I could've extended :(

I honestly had the best time at the hostel! It was a very social hostel, and I loved meeting people from all over the world. the hostel really created such a loving community that I enjoyed. The work was very fun to do and manageable! Mike was open to exchanging feedback which I really appreciated - I'd highly recommend this experience :)

I'm writing this review as I'm packing my bags to go hiking - and even tho I'll be back in a few days to say a proper goodbye, I already dread leaving. Over the last month, this hostel has become and been my home. the hostel is Strawpedos, Beer Bongs and Raki Shots, it's getting drunk with strangers turned to friends during the various day activities, but most of all it's family. There's always someone around to help you, be it employed staff or the other volunteers: the team spirit is really THE BEST! Would 100% recommend if you're up to the hostel day and night with the coolest people alive!

My time in the hostel was truly amazing! The manager and the staff were extremely welcoming, they immediately made me feel like part of the team. The work is really easy flexible and well communicated, you can also use the bikes for free which gives you the opportunity to explore shkoder and its surroundings. Albania is truly a magical country, with its unique nature and hikes. Parties are really fun, even tho it was still low season, and you'll never lack raki. I'm really grateful to had the opportunity to be the part of this experience and team, I've met amazing people and I'll be back!<3
