The Experience

We are a cozy small family (me and my super kind and receptive 7y boy) living in Lisbon. I work at office daily and need help to have fun with him daily and help with some home tasks, so we all have more time to enjoy nature, quality food, outdoor. We would love to receive a communicative easygoing person who has a healthy lifestyle and with whom we can share nice experiences in Lisbon. Our guest will have all day free during week to be chill.

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and honestly, it couldn't have been more perfect. Marie and Artur are two so lovely, warm-hearted people, and their joy for life is so catching. Sharing their everyday life felt like being welcomed into a little family. Marie included me in everything and gave me so many recommendations for Lisbon. My main task was babysitting Artur — beach days or quiet evenings at home — and every moment with him was simply a lot of fun. He's such a sweet, curious little heart. I felt safe and at home here. We're still in touch, and I'll be back soon! 💛

I truly loved my time with them, it felt like I was part of their little family (: The working hours we're great, so one definitely has enough time to explore Lisbon and the surrounding area besides helping out here. Main task for me was cooking dinner and I loved that I could just cook what I knew. And because Artur eats a lot of veggies etc. it wasn't hard to feed him some nutritions. Though it is a bit hard having a language barrier with a kid, Artur and I tried our best with communication and it always worked out👍 Definitely suggest it and Marie also gives a lot or recommendations.

Being with Marie and Arthur was super nice~ It was a good experience to take care of a little kid for longer than I used to and the house chores were okay. Marie explained everything and helped me when I had questions or had an idea to improve a task. Arthur is a very caring kid and easygoing, just like any other kid, you just need to talk and be patient so I learned a lot from him :) The neighborhood is great as well and has many locals so it was a great opportunity for me to live a little bit of the Lisbon life. Wishing them both the best!

Marie is wonderful. I really enjoyed the time I spent with her and her little boy ( Arthur- that said NO, to me all the time. ) So I taught Arthur how to say No Thank -you. And he learned it. Marie took us to the beach every day. I have made a lifetime bond with this beautiful family and I wish her all the luck in the future.

Marie replied

You teached him: No, thank you and Yes, please! And he learned and do it all the time ;) Thank you and good luck with everything :)
