The hostel has a very nice structure and is in the best location in Canasvieiras and very close to the beach. Positive points of the experience are the way the work shifts are organized and the fact that the staff have their own room with air conditioning and bathroom. I would like to thank Priscila, who is very patient and practical with her reception training, and also Isabela and Nicholas, for welcoming me to the hostel, even though we had very little contact, very nice!

Isa and Nico have always been very welcoming and supportive even before I arrived at the hostel, always replying to my questions. Once there, I immediately felt welcomed. I didn't speak much Portuguese and only a few people spoke English or Spanish, but this has not been a problem at all, the team was ready to find a way to understand and communicate with me. Of course, you need to come with an open mind and flexibility as you are sharing your time and your space, that's part of the hostel life! Everyone is respected and the hosts are ready to listen to you. I made incredible friends <3

The hostel was my first experience as a volunteer. It was an incredible few days alongside amazing people I met there. I learned a lot about care, reception, and I also developed my Spanish. The environment was extremely welcoming, and the hosts Isa and Nicolas were always around the hostel and willing to help. I can only be grateful for this opportunity. My first month here was excellent! The team is very welcoming and helped us a lot with getting settled. The atmosphere is friendly and the tasks, well distributed, flow calmly in the off-season. The facilities are great: hot showers, fast internet, and laundry (we got 2 weekly codes to wash and dry). We also received R$ 25 in weekly bar credit, which has snacks, beers, and billiards. We are 14 volunteers; we stay in suites for 10 people, the rest in other rooms, but I loved that couples get a full bunk bed. Management is flexible for relocations. Great experience, I highly recommend it!

My experience at worldhostel was really great, I highly recommend it. The owners Isa and Nicholas are wonderful people, they are always nearby to help. Pri (the manager) gave me great support throughout my stay, always available to assist with questions and always very flexible with regard to shifts. I found the exchange fair, the work isn't heavy. The hostel is well located, everything nearby: a 24-hour pharmacy, 3 grocery options, and it's right by the beach. If you're looking for a place to make connections, it's a good volunteer exchange, I highly recommend 😊✨
