My volunteering at the reserve was amazing! It was a really unique experience and Henry and Hugo have been super kind. Something you need to be aware of is that days start really early. Sometimes even before 5am and it's not like other volunteers where you have set working hours. You work whenever there is work which makes for a pretty spontaneous time schedule. But I didn't mind too much and it was so much fun to ride horses almost everyday :)

An amazing time in the reserve. It's about as authentic as an experience on a ranch can get - early mornings, lots of horse riding, simple food, lots of nature everywhere (caimans, piranhas, capybaras, anteaters, anacondas, the most fireflies I've ever seen in my life), the brightest starry sky, and very, very, remote. It was exactly what I was looking for. Julio, Julio Cesar, Hugo and everyone else on the ranch do things the way they have always been done on it, you learn by observing. There's something magical about how the character of the Llanos is fully preserved - I loved my time here!

I had an amazing time at the reserve. The work was sometimes very hard, but also very varied and exciting. It was great fun riding the horses so much. The farm is very remote, which made it the perfect place to immerse myself in local life and the nature of the savanna. We also did lots of cool things like piranha fishing, campfires and animal watching. I can highly recommend it to everyone.

It was my first worldpackers experience and had an amazing time at the reserve. You truly immerse yourself in the llanero lifestyle surrounded by beautiful nature and a varied wildlife. Everyone was very kind, helps you learn, and you feel like one more of the team since day 1. Tasks tend to be varied and there's really a lot of horse riding. I recommend the reserve to anyone wanting to get an authentic llano experience away from the city and learn about sustainable independent living in a farm.

Had a great time at the reserve immersing myself in a new lifestyle - seeing how a ranch in Colombia works. From herding cattle on horseback to various field tasks. Very peaceful, amazing being surrounded by all the animals and also pretty sunrises and sunsets every day! The facilities were also beyond my expectations. However, would def say it's an advantage knowing Spanish well as none of the workers speak English and it could be hard understanding the tasks at times and also the social aspect.
