I also had the opportunity to go on a few trips during my days off to discover the surrounding areas. Sissel is a truly amazing person, and I'm grateful for everything she did to make my stay such a great experience.

The farm was my first volunteering experience ever and it was amazing. The tasks were mostly about taking care of animals and then painting the stable, but it can really wary because of the weather. Sissel is really nice and she wanted me to have the most experience possible, so I had multiple chances to go see Lofoten and other places in Norway. During my whole stay I felt truly welcomed and it's definitely not the last time I was there :).

From the moment I arrived I felt so welcomed and comfortable.The landscape was absolutely stunning and I quickly got attached to the place and animals.Sissel was always there to help and truly cared about us, making us feel more like family than volunteers.The work hours and days off were respected! And the tasks are really nice, not hard at all.I also got to live so many unique experiences I'd never experienced before, like watching the northern lights, diving into the freezing the farm waters, hiking through the snow, etc.This place has become a second home for me, and I'd love to come back❤️

My time at the farm was truly unforgettable. From the very beginning I felt incredibly welcome. The surroundings were beutiful and I completely fell in love with the animals - especially the dogs. I experiences so may special moments like seeing the northern lights, enjoying the sauna, snowshoe hiking and cross-country skiing. Sissel made the stay even more amazing with her great ideas what to do, her encouragement, and helpful tips. She really cared about us enjoying our time at the farm. This place feels like a second home to me, and I would love to come back:))

This was an experience that I'm very glad I did! The location is absolutely beautiful, got to see many auroras and take a break from city life. The work can be physically demanding at times but it is also satisfying! Loved spending time with the animals, the horses are very well mannered. Sissel was a lovely host, she always made sure we were comfy and had many recommendations for getting the best out of Norway. Would go again :)

I came to Norway to enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty, to spot the beautiful wildlife in and around the fjords, to experience life in the wild the farm north of Norway. But the most memorable encounter will be my amazing host Sissel. Sissel is truly one of the kindest people I have met on many years of travelling, the love she shows for her horses and dogs is boundless, she loves sharing her knowledge about the animals, she makes sure you get a true experience of Norwegian culture, she encourages you to go and explore the beautiful countryside around. I highly recommend everything about this place. The work is totally manageable and I can confidently say you will have most of the day free to explore. The nature around the farm is the most stunning I have ever seen in my life. It is the perfect place if you want to ski, see the northern lights, or go hiking (even in the winter). There is plenty of food and the volunteers' apartment is great. The dogs and horses are lovely, and Sissel and her family are truly amazing! She is so patient and understanding that I really felt at home here. Can't wait to come back!

My experience at Stallen the farm was truly amazing. Sissel was more than welcoming and made sure I felt taken care of every step of the way. The horses and dogs were amazing and the volunteers rooms are great. The first two weeks of my stay I was the only volunteer there and the workload was totally manageable for a single person and with two people, it was even faster. You'll definitely have enough free time to explore the surroundings. There is a bus stop very close by. Sissel and her family are so very kind and the experience was truly incredible. I can only recommend this experience !
