A truly inspiring first WorldPackers experience! From the start, Sarah was very helpful and always available to give guidance. As long as you truly care and put in your best effort, you'll make a difference and learn SO much. Sarah has organized instructions and makes it easy to keep track of what needs to be done. I've never met someone so passionate and dedicated to a cause. the project could not be in better hands! Bansko is so beautiful and the project (and cats!) are some of the loveliest I've ever met! This was my first ever Worldpackers trip and it was absolutely amazing!! Sarah is very helpful with anything you need and I instantly felt welcomed by her. the project are all absolutely amazing and as long as you respect them in their space you will have an amazing time. Sarah puts her heart and soul into the project and you can tell just from how happy they all are. Some days are more tiring than others but that comes with every job. Bansko is a lovely wee town and everything is easy to walk to. I can't recommend this shelter enough it was an absolutely incredible experience!! :))

The project you spend your days with in Bansko are clever, sweet and gentle. Given that there are only very few the project at the shelter you make a very close connection with each of them. While there you learn lots about enrichment and socialising practices while spending your free time in the beautiful town of Bansko. Sarah is very kind and passionate and so long as you're willing to work hard you'll have an amazing time. Thank you for everything!!

My best volunteer experience so far! Sarah is 1000% committed to the project and the project. The accommodations are great and the hours are respected. Everything is for the project, and it's noticeable how much they are loved. Sarah was always very open to changing some schedules to give me more time for other activities like snowboarding or exploring the city. I'll miss all the project (especially Molly and Enya). I hope to return someday and help more next time 🫡

It was my first Worldpackers experience and I really enjoyed it! :) All the project and the cat are so lovely and just need love! I really appreciated spending time with all of them!! You work for 4 hours, doing cleaning, walking, and spending time with the project. There's always something to do, and everything is very well organized. Thank you to Sarah, Desi, and Nick!! :)

For people who love the project and cats this is the perfect experience. You really feel like you participate in something meaningful. And you get what you agree to do. I loved my experience at the Dogshelter! Working with the dog was lots of fun. They are all so sweet! The task were manageable but it took me a while to get the hang of everything I still really enjoyed it! Sarah is really clear about what she wants which is great but can be a bit „scary“ in the beginning. But it just showed how much she cares for the project. I would recommend everyone to volunteer at BSD. Thank you so much for the experience ❤️

I had a nice time at the dog shelter, looking after the yard the project and fostering an energetic dog in the volunteer apartment, whilst I was nervous at first due to the large size of the project, they truly are sweet gentle giants and just want love and fuss. The shelter is doing something great for the project: giving them enrichment and walks; I enjoyed grooming the project especially. the tasks were not difficult but there is a routine to get to know. I did feel at times more efforts could be made the volunteers feel more welcome. But overall, Sarah is a lovely host and I will cherish this experience!

I have an outstanding experience. It is so nice to see how each one of the dogs inside and out of the shelter is so well treated and in such a special way. I am glad for how much I could learn about dogs behaviour and training, which I am thankful for. The tasks are not too demanding, but there are a lot of details about the way they should be done - which there is always a reason behind that. I appreciate our weekly check-ins, as they helped our experience and progress proceed smoothly. I will miss Tammy and the other dogs so much! Thank you Sarah and team for the opportunity!!

I just spent a month in Bansko with three wonderful the project. Even though they were all different we had lots of fun together and it was wonderful experience. Sarah and her staff are doing incredible work with all these abandoned the project and helping them until they can find a loving home to keep them forever. I highly recommend this experience if you love the project and also I learned a great deal about them. Sarah has built a fantastic refuge not only for the project under her care but for ones that are still roaming the streets as she has set up feeding and watering places for them.
