The reserve Sanctuary is for real a magical place. I came here to help, but I ended up being helped too. ❤️ Being around the horses all the time really helps you open your heart and connect with yourself. Lilian really knows how to read your soul and give you the space to open yourself, while also being a really interesting, lovely and easy-going person. And of course, the dogs and cats (and the frog) fill the house and every day with so much life and joy. In the end, this was the experience I needed, at exactly the right time and space. I'm really grateful for it. Highly recommend!!🌻

My experience at Tsiiminoob was wonderful. We had many great conversations and I learned so much about plant medicine among many other things. Although the main focus is on the horses, I had the pleasure of caring for her 4 lovely dogs while I was there. Lilian is the kind of person who meets you where you're at, without any judgement, and appreciates and encourages you to do things around the reserve that you are interested in. The love she has for all beings has inspired me greatly.

There is lots of freedom here. Lilian is a fantastic host who respects the gifts, liberty and interests of the individual. It was a great place for me to disconnect from the fast paced demands of the outside world (or even myself) and re-discover myself where I am. The pace of life is slow. She takes marvelous care of the animals with lots of heart. I feel immense gratitude for the exchange here in this beautiful sanctuary and what I leave with. It can get quite hot and humid in the summertime.

I actually had a good time at first, until things changed. I came ready to help and support the project, but eventually felt uncomfortable and unsupported. I was bitten by a horse, had unexpected changes to sleeping arrangements, and felt my safety concerns were dismissed. I also believe personal and financial information should remain private. I appreciate what I learned, but ultimately this placement wasn't the right fit for me.

Hey! Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you've been here and enjoy this different kind of living... I know... In the jungle things are beautiful but a little rough... Always working on that and advancing step by step, it's also a great opportunity of knowing special and beautiful people as you and Flossie 😊 😘

I cannot recommend Lilian's sanctuary enough. I stayed for two weeks and the experience has fundamentally changed my perspective by helping me to focus on the basics and find deeper meaning in my behaviour and interests. Spending time with Lilian taught me that relaxing and connecting with nature is the key to confronting yourself. Lilian has two rescues horses, five lovely dogs, and five wonderful cats. This is more than just a horse sanctuary, this is an animal haven on beautiful land in rural Mexico. Here, you'll connect with locals and get a true Yucatán experience. Can't wait to return!

My stay at Lilián's was mixed. She is an amazing and kind woman who goes out of her way to make you feel at home! She was great for practicing Spanish! Her animals are lovely and your work can be adapted to exactly suite what you're interested in! Plus, your work is visibly helping her property.

The issue is you're camping in a jungle with no electricity at the tent - so no fan. This made sleeping in the tent unbearably hot. Between heat/humidity/mosquitos, I had to leave early... Now I had a flu, it was hot season, and she is always improving her place so this was just my experience

A truly an experience in all the senses. Lilian was so welcoming and down to earth. Volunteers need to expect a simple place but it's in progress. It is a community feel and you all help out with cooking and the shopping and the jobs needed on the land. The two horses are amazing, Aquiles and Moro, the care they receive is to become free horses again and they are looked after with such love and respect which you learn. The are rescued cats and dogs and the village is close enough to walk but you still feel in nature and can disconnect. It is a sanctuary not just for horses but people too💙💙

Lillian and Aquilles (the horse) are wonderful! Both beings have much to offer in the ways of strengthening intuition and personal power. I gained skills in leadership with Aquilles, and understood more how to care for a horse in a reciprocal way. I got to improve my Spanish as well. Her home is just far enough away from town to feel peaceful, and she lives in accordance with the weather. Its rugged, wild, and beautiful. What a unique place! i recommend staying 10-25 days.and take a day to see the cenotes! the work was a little unclear, but left time to find inspiration and initiative! healing
