This was an amazing experience. I only speak english which made it hard to communicate because almost everyone here speaks only Portuguese but everyone put in effort to communicate with me even with the language barrier which I appreciated a lot. Everyone here is kind and really cares about the work that they are doing. The hostel is absolutely stunning and the trails around it brought me to some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The only downside I had was that it is secluded so most of the time is spent at the hostel and I wished I could have explored the town more.

Unfortunately, for me the experience was nothing as described on the title (Cultivo orgânico e sustentável). I've tried to find a middle ground and communicate multiple times with the host (Julio) to be able to work with what the title says, but the maximum I got to do was cutting lavenders once. I was patient and gave it time since it rained some days, but even on the days that didn't rain and other volunteers (from WOOF) were working in agriculture, I still wasn't able to participate. Wish he could've shown more effort in making this work for us, as I've been really flexible every day...

I had an amazing time here! Both Paula and Uriel were amazing hosts, and I couldn't have asked for anything better! The mountains and waterfalls are stunning (pictures don't do justice), and the 3 dogs here feel like your family. The work is easy and there's some veggies and herbs in the garden you can use. Also make sure to bring a jacket and any other special items you need, as it's located far from town. Thank you for this beautiful opportunity and I hope to come back :))

The hostel escopark was an amazing experience! Beautiful waterfalls with crystal-clear waters and very beautiful nature. The work is very calm and relaxed. The hosts are very nice and friendly! I plan to return more often in the future.

My first volunteer experience was at the best possible place. I felt a strong connection with nature and with the people there. I want to thank Júlio for giving me this chance to volunteer; I learned a lot from him. And to Uriel, who was also very attentive, we shared some really nice conversations. Dona Angélica, the cook extraordinaire, making delicious meals and being great company. They are people I will remember and carry with me for the rest of my life.
Besides, the guests were sensational too; I heard many stories, and that motivated me to continue volunteering. Thank you for welcoming me.

My volunteering focused mainly on maintaining the guesthouse (cleaning, organizing and taking care of the surroundings), the trails' waterfalls are beautiful and we had a lot of fun. Júlio is a great host, punctual, welcoming, polite and very friendly. I miss the dogs a lot.

Our time at the hostel was very good, with a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The mountains are spectacular and Julio is an excellent host and has become our friend; the exchange was very fair and the services are simple and well oriented. We hope to return again and we recommend to everyone who are enthusiasts and want to learn more about the Serra region and the local nature.

The experience at the hostel was incredible! I have a lot to thank Júlio, Uriel and Fernando who welcomed me very well at the hostel. All of the team were very friendly and attentive. During the whole volunteering they were very clear about the tasks and I had total freedom to explore the place and learn more about the region. The trails are beautiful and the waterfall is great! It is very worth visiting. I went during a period of heavy rain in the region, however there were no shortages of activities and moments to connect with nature that is unique in this place. I am planning to return to the hostel in the future😁
