Lucky and Andy are such kind souls. I have been blessed to end up meeting and staying with them. They gave me lots of helpful tips to exploring the country. If I ever come back to Guatemala, I will definitely reach out to them again. The tasks and hours are very reasonable. Not difficult at all. I fell in love with their pets. Rumi, Capu and Dobbie. I loved laying on the couch cuddling with Dobbie. Thanks for everything!

Andy & Lucky are very nice people who will give you many recommendations and insights. They took me to several spots & paid for a meal about once a week (reward for working over described hours). There's a bus stop very close to the house so if you're okay with taking chicken buses you'll be able to visit some places fairly easily over the weekends. The only thing is I wouldn't recommend this exchange for learning lots of Spanish as I was just spoken English to. That being said, volunteering for the first time here I made many mistakes & the hosts were always very kind & understanding

Lucky & Andy are beautiful people who will welcome you into their life. They are very kind & will make sure you are looked after. They are also very informative and tell you a lot about their culture. I enjoyed my time volunteering with them, experiencing their Guatemalan life. The work was very fair. Some days are longer than others but it's flexible as there is lots of space for communication to make it work for you both. We went on day trips outside of Sumpango, some for work and some for not. This was amazing as I saw different parts of Guatemala I wouldn't have seen otherwise. Recommend!

This was my first volunteering experience, and I couldn't ask for a better host. It's a charming and lovely place, with many trees and fresh air, and the kitchen and bedroom are well equipped. The tasks are relatively easy, just remember not to underestimate them. Lucky and Andy are very welcoming and made me feel home from the very first day, made me have amazing experiences and got me to know more about Guatemala. I enjoyed a lot taking care of Capu and Dobby, they were the nicest pets ever. I would definitely repeat this experience.

It was a wonderful experience, I felt at home. The tasks were very simple and the schedules were very flexible, which allowed me to make the most of my free time to visit incredible places like Antigua, the Acatenango volcano, the Fuego volcano, and Supango.

But, without a doubt, the best part was sharing with a wonderful family that always looked after my well-being. Additionally, the people who live there as tenants are very kind, sharing experiences, meals, and good moments with them made me feel even more comfortable and well received.
