We are looking for help with tasks in the vineyard. Pruning, shoot thinning, tying in and trimming canes and harvesting grapes in the autumn. There will be an opportunity to help in the winery with some regular tasks. The cider orchard has become overgrown and needs maintenance and there are also tasks in the vegetable garden. This is ideal for someone who enjoys being outside in all weather and is happy helping with a variety of tasks.

The experience at the winery was really great. The work was a little hard because of the temporary, but the times were always respected so we have all the afternoon to know the place, take a nap or work remotely as I did. Gill and James are really great hosts, during the meals we had lovely and conversations and knew each others life's, also Gill is a really good cook, the food is always delicious and very healthy. The place is beautiful, is surrounded by nature and you have very near and beautiful places to visit as Well and Bath.

What a fantastic experience! I spent a month working at the winery and it was truly a wonderful time ! Firstly, Gill and James were amazing hosts, I was so lucky to have them as part of my first experience! Hours were respected, fantastic food served served (amazing pasta) and really good accommodations. It's nestled in the beautiful Somerset and near wells where you can visit places such as Bath and Bristol within an hour. We worked on the vineyards tucking in the vines. I got huge satisfaction once we finished the Ortega section on my last day. It's a must do!

The winery was a great experience 🌻 I assisted with various harvest activities & the actual harvest , some cider bottling and apple picking. Gill, James and Bella make you feel very welcome and care that you have everything you need, they are very wonderful, kind and chill, I thank them both for allowing me the opportunity to experience what life on a the winery is like🌻 Around this time of year the weather can be very gusty windy and rainy but there are Wonderful sunny days sometimes, you can get to Wells station by bike or45 min walk as the minibus to wells can be a little sparse

Gill and James made me feel at home right from the beginning. I have had lots of interesting conversations with them and we shared lots of laughs. The food was delicious, especially the basil pesto that Gill always made. Bella was a lovely dog who welcomed me when I first got there. The tasks varied from working in the winery to painting a shed, so it was great to have a variety of different things to do there. I would really recommend spending some time with them!

I stayed with Gill and James for ten days at the end of July. The work was a mixture of working in the winery and then doing some painting of the house. It was decent physical effort but it was great being outside all day and you finish by lunch so the whole afternoon was free to relax or explore the area. James and Gill were amazing hosts, we had some great conversations about wine, Somerset and so much more. The food was amazing and seemingly endless too and Bella is such a cutie. Would absolutely recommend to anyone
