Volunteering at the organization was my first solo travelling experience and I have absolutely no regrets!!The whole team is lovely, both the organisers and companions made me feel truly welcomed and accepted from the very beginning. The tasks were varied, with some being lighter, some more tiring.Another highlight was working at jam sessions in Lisbon. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and had the chance to meet so many interesting people. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone who wants to contribute to a meaningful project and become part of such a heartwarming community!!<3

This was an amazing and growth encouraged experience. If you go into with your mind and heart open, and ready to help support the community you will be apart of then this will be an absolutely incredible experience. It was my first work exchange and I couldn't have asked for a better experience, so much that I am thinking about coming back another time or at the end of my trip. You learn a lot, you meet beautiful people with different stories and perhaps you get out of your comfort zone and try something completely new. I highly reccomend this opportunity! :)

This was my first experience as a volunteer and I really enjoyed it!
The community is fantastic, I felt completely safe and I'm really thankful for all the kindness of hosts and companions.
The work to be done is a lot, the tasks are various, some are more tiering and others are easier and pleasant. What is sure is that every help, even if little, is really appreciated.
I also loved to work at Lisbon, where the shop which is temporany closed hosts jam sessions once a week; a place full of life, music and fun!
Overall it was a great experience that I would defenitely suggest to anyone!

I loved this experience so much and have definitely created friendships with Ophelie, Humberto and Eva as well as those I met whilst volunteering. The food is delicious, and you can truly sense the passion for the charity that is created whilst also being fully immersed in a new culture. Having two locations to stay in was also really beneficial as it meant you could explore numerous different areas, eg Sintra or Cascais. The companions, despite not all speaking english, are nonetheless friendly and welcoming and you feel part of the community within no time.

I will always remember my time here. This was my first time as a worldpacker and I was initially very nervous, but the community will make you feel right at home. The work itself isn't overly complicated, sometimes it was a bit strenuous and tiring from the heat but you're given ample breaks and fed every meal + snacks. But the biggest thing for me was feeling like part of a community. Ophelie, Humberto and Eva were some of the kindest, caring people I've met and made me feel like family. They are good communicators and have very reasonable standards. Two weeks flew by, I highly recommend!!

This was my first solo trip and it was everything I wanted it to be! I felt so welcomed right from the start and comfortable throughout my entire stay. The people are really what made my whole trip. The entire team is made up of great people who want you to enjoy your time with them and with the organization. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to explore a new culture, meet some great people, while also make a positive community impact! :)

I thoroughly enjoyed my time volunteering with the organization - both in Caneças and in Lisbon! Although quite different environments I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect from my first world packers experience but it exceeded whatever expectations I did have and I am so grateful for the awesome opportunities that were opened to me! Ophelie, Humberto and the rest of the team are genuinely caring and positive people who checked in with me throughout my stay to make sure I was having a good time and feeling comfortable with the work and conditions! 10/10
