Camp Alta is a wilderness camp nestled amidst the forests of the Swedish Lapland. We are located only 15-minutes drive from the city of Kiruna. We are open year-round and are dedicated to providing affordable accommodation and memorable experiences to travelers from all over the world. We want to open our doors to volunteers willing to help us out with daily tasks at the camp.

It was a good experience. The facilities were very comfortable, and the tasks were clear and easy. They took the time and care to explain each task. There was an issue regarding work hours, but once it was pointed out, they resolved it immediately. They genuinely care about you having a good time. the camping is beautiful, and I had the incredible opportunity to see the northern lights almost every night!!

My experience at the camping was amazing. It was my first volunteering experience, and I truly couldn't have asked for a better place to start. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel at home and welcomed me as part of the team. My tasks and schedule were always clear, and I felt supported throughout my entire stay. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have spent this time at the camping, meet amazing people, and experience such a beautiful place. It became a really special experience for me, and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you for everything the camping <3

I had such a wonderful time at the camping. The work is easy, and the team and volunteers are all kind, genuine, and welcoming from the moment you arrive. Everything is well organised, and with all the facilities, it's really easy to settle in. I loved being so close to nature here. It's such a special place. And I'm leaving with lots of great memories. I really hope to be back someday. π«Άπ»π«Άπ»

It was my first volunteering experience and it was amazing. All the staff and other volunteers I met during my stay were so kind, welcoming and always happy to help. the camping is sorrounded by nature and a very nice place to relax. In summer you can take a dip in a lake, go to the sauna, take many walks in the forest and maybe even see the Northern Lights. The work is not too hard and working hours are always respected. All in all, I am so grateful for this experience and would 100% recommend it.

The whole team at the camping is so lovely. I had such a good time with them all and the lake is beautiful. I enjoyed sitting by the water, lots of evening walks and the sauna, but most of all the people there! <3 I'll definitely be back!
