The Experience

We are going through a turbulent time so the peace and way of life that I offer will be very welcome to many travelers. Some building work still going on, mostly finishing work and painting. Always some gardening to do! All while you enjoy good healthy food and walks in the surrounding forest. English language practice is available! Usually, there may be events to help at, many local events ask for volunteers and I enjoy helping others!

My experience in the home was amazing. David is a good host that worries of you all the time. The tasks depend of the day but it's not much difficult and was so funny work with him. I know that this experience it's not for everyone but try to open your mind and get out of your confort zone, it's going to be surprise you. An unique and lovely experience <3 I hope I could see you soon David

My stay at the home has been amazing. David is great host and he will take care of you (especially with his delicious cooking, you will never be hungry!). I had the opportunity to help him cooking in a French restaurant. It was a lifetime experience for me and I really enjoy every second here. Thank you David!

David was kind in providing any food or other items we needed for daily use. Daily jobs depend on the weather etc. You cannot go anywhere by yourself as there is not access to taxis. I enjoyed the time in nature but ultimately the structure David had set up was not for me. Communication could have been better, although conflicts were approached with respect. I would not recommend for solo female travelers.

David replied

With over 150 solo travelers, 90% young females, most enjoy their time here but it was clear that you had chosen the wrong place to spend time. Happily for me most travelers are not like you with a nice car in the garage back home a father to pay for your plane ticket. I have no idea what you expected as I repeatedly asked if there was a problem however you chose to stay silent.
It is clear that what I offer is not suitable to everyone, especially those wanting fixed hours and to independently tour the area but I clearly state this in my profile. Why do people not believe me!!

David was a good host but as we talked, he has to get his life together before taking more guests, in my opinion. He's a really good person but he's had enough preassure in his life and, on my point of view, he needs a really long holidays:) I really enjoyed coking and doing gardening with him and Cat. Good time and food with good people. I wish David the best and hopefully the house is finished by the end of the year. Gracias por todo y espero verte pronto <3

My life has just improved as builders I have been waiting to start work for 8 months are coming next week! I can then finish the house and then offer a stress free experience for everyone. I have booked a much needed holiday and I will not be taking anyone until march '24.

David was a very generous host and taught me a lot about cooking , gardening, and life in brittany! We went to tons of festivals and local events as well as the beach. My experience was great and I highly recommend if you're looking for something immersive and enjoy nature.
