My stay here was amazing. Mey was a wonderful host, her and her family were very welcoming. I learned a lot about the indigenous culture of Catarpe. The tasks were very rewarding, they consisted of gardening, repairs and looking after animals. The scenery here is amazing. We also got to take part in a temazcal ceremony which was one of the coolest experiences i've had on this trip. We ate lunch together everyday which was so wholesome and Mey's cooking was 10/10. Highly recommended!

Mey and her family were so welcoming and kind, Mey is one of the most caring, intelligent and knowledgeable people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. This experience has made me appreciate a different way of life, focusing on what the earth gives us and how grateful we should be for it. The tasks were enjoyable and I got immediate satisfaction from being able to see my impact. The animals on the farm are amazing also. Mey shared her space with us allowed us to participate in a healing ceremony which has been one of the major highlights of my South America travelling experience this far.

My experience in Catarpe was great. It was a great way to fully immerse in nature and reconnect with myself through the time I spent helping in May's household and the time I spent by myself. I am very thankful for the opportunity I had here and everything I have learnt. Not a place for the fainted heart ones, but I would definitely recommend it to those who want to try something different.

This place is a disconnecting spot where the silence is loud and the mother nature will change your soul forever. Keep in mind you are going for indigenous house, so the facilities are very simple but given with a lot love. The place is 40 min away by bike from the village so be prepared to ride a bike with altitude. 100% recommended because this place change my way of listening my own thoughts.

10/10 recommend if you need quiet time to get in touch with nature and yourself, for me, walking through the quiet desert was exactly what I needed to clear my head. The views are breath-taking, so is the night sky, the places around to explore seem endless, not counting the tours you can take in San Pedro. The host is very helpful and respectful, it is a country-side life style, if you're from the big city, like me, you'll have to adapt a bit out of the comfort zone, it's good for you! That being said, 100% safe, everything was clean and the room is warm and cozy at night.

Staying in Catarpe has been a great, remote experience and you usually work 3-4 hours per day (depending on what needs to be done). Tasks were clear and Mey even considered my vegetarian diet for lunch. You must speak some Spanish as English is not an option. Overall a wonderful experience in the middle of nature :)

A very enriching experience, I wish I could have stayed longer! It's in the middle of very beautiful nature and the work was fun (although pretty physical). Jorge and Mey were really kind and helpful with me. I really enjoyed spending time walking around and connecting with nature.

I spent two beautiful weeks in Catarpe which I extended for a few more days as we volunteers had the chance to participate in a ceremony. Mey and Jorge are lovely persons who tell you clearly what to do. At times the work can get physical and tiring. But there were no tasks lasting longer than 2-3 hours. So it's a good variety and it doesn't get boring. Everybody was paying attention to my very basic spanish skills and tried to speak slowly. Miss the three magical dogs already. The landscape is amazing and I was able to explore everything with our bikes.
