I spent one month volunteering here and had a really good experience. The work is only 3 hours a day, and you're always guided by the staff, so it's easy to learn and enjoyable to work here. Volunteers sleep in a shared dormitory, and the beds are comfortable. The hostel is in a great location, making it easy to explore Nagasaki, which is a beautiful and very interesting city. The staff are all kind, welcoming, and friendly. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable!

Perfectly located next to Chinatown, and only a short walk away to the shopping street and tram stop which can take you to all the important spots in the city. The team are very welcoming, but there's not a huge deal of opportunity to be social. You get a great bed in one of the dorms — one of the best I've had space-wise in Japan. The schedule is given to you at the start of your stay, but there's not a lot of flexibility in it. The host is also very understanding — I had to leave early and they were accommodating despite the short notice.

I really really enjoyed my 3 weeks at the guest house! You will sleep in the dormitory with guests but the beds are spacious and comfortable so I don't think it's a problem at all. The staff is very nice and the guesthouse is clean! The job isn't difficult and they won't let you do overtime! The only down side I can maybe say here, is that Nagasaki is quite far from everything so if you want to go site seeing outside the city it can be difficult with a car. But the guesthouse is perfectly located inside Nagasaki! It was 3 very relaxing weeks for me even during the Golden Week.

Its a very nice place! The Hostel is very clean, comfortable and it has everything you need. The Staff/Coworkers and owners are so nice and friendly. Would definetely recommend if you wana explore Nagasaki for some time.

I had a wonderful stay at the guest house! From the moment I arrived, the guesthouse felt warm and welcoming, I immediately felt at home. The team is incredibly kind, attentive, and always available if you need anything. They really make the experience special. The work is simple and always respects the agreed schedule, which makes it easy to enjoy your free time and explore the city after your shift. The guesthouse is ideally located, with many spots easily accessible on foot or by public transport. I truly loved discovering the city and wandering in the streets. It was a fantastic experience!

Had a great time, I’d love to go back when I can :) Work was easy, bed was comfy and cozy, very very clean hostel. You will be expected to work the full 3 hours, even if you finish the bed making and shower cleaning early you are expected to do more tasks until 1pm, which I didn’t mind.
It was a fair amount of work to justify my stay. I had lots of fun, I was able to get some good rest and relax.
Walkable to Shinchi Chinatown, Dejima, Glover Garden, Sofuku-ji Temple and Teramachi Dori and tram/bus stations nearby.
Ps - the street out front is quite loud as it is a busy area.
