Enjoyed my time at Rancho viejo thoroughly. Got treated like part of the family which I am grateful for as everyone was so welcoming . Was perfect to connect with nature and be away from the busy cities . Lots of hikes in the area and fresh produce to buy and cook :)
However the meal provided was very hit and miss as some days my staff meal was very minimal and should not be classified as a meal.
But Overall a great experience , thank you all ❤️

Having my first volunteer experience at this place was a truly magical gift. The people are so welcoming, the work space is good, everyone gets along and that's one of the things that made my stay at the hostel memorable. The space itself is just taken out of a movie but even better. Watching the sunset every time I got the chance was a non-negotiable for me. You get free access to the different activities they have for guests, one meal per day and a cozy place to stay. The friends I made here, plus the magical moments in the mountains are unforgettable. I'm pretty sure I'm coming back!

I had the most amazing month volunteering here. They were very accommodating of my illness at the beginning and were extremely welcoming and made me feel part of the team! The surrounding environment is awe inspiring, the team is so lovely and the facilities are amazing! This a special place and I am very grateful to have been apart of it. Also love the dogs! Kira is my favourite.

I'm truly grateful for my month here — I absolutely fell in love with this place. The town is quiet, but it's the perfect place to slow down, go on beautiful hikes, and watch stunning sunsets. I was teaching English in town. Then I also started giving yoga classes. The accommodation is simple and it can get cold, but you get used to it. The common areas are cozy, and the staff is super friendly. And the volunteers can join Temazcal ceremonies for free. They provide lunch or dinner on working days, and the food was always really delicious. I would definitely volunteer here again! Thank you!

Volunteering at this hostel was an unforgettable experience. The location was beautiful, surrounded by nature, which made the whole atmosphere feel magical. The staff and guests were welcoming. Whether I was helping with daily tasks or assisting guests, every moment was rewarding. The energy was always positive, and it was a joy to see the impact firsthand. This experience was truly special, and I highly recommend volunteering here for anyone looking to be part of something special.
