The Experience

We are a small, family-run hostel that hosts 13 guests. The shifts are 4 hours per day, two days off per week, flexible. We need help with the reception and welcoming guests, cleaning of common areas, rooms and bathrooms. Open to receiving new ideas to apply at the hostel. We also have 2 cats, a small dog, and 2 turtles. Santa Ana is a strategic point to discover natural places you shouldn't miss.

I had a really great time with Adriana and Roberto at Santa Ana.
They are amazing hosts, who are always worried about the volunteer (and the guests). They really do care a lot, trying their best for our host and tasks to be fun, and guaranteeing we would have enough flexibility to have our own time.

For all the time that I spent there, with Adriana, Roberto, the lovely cats, the dog, and the turtles, Pool House will always have a special place in my heart. So will Santa Ana. <3

I had a great experience volunteering at the hostel. The work was easy and well-organized, and Adrianna and Robert truly respect your time. The place is very comfy, and it's easy to socialize with guests in the living room and the hostel area. I already miss the pets: sweet Gigi, adventurous Mimi, cuddly Coco, and the tortoise! Honestly, I wish I didn't have an itinerary to follow because I would have stayed longer. Highly recommend for a relaxed and fun volunteering experience. Muchas gracias, Adri and Robert ❤️

The hostel Santa Ana is one of my top volunteer opportunities. This position was fair and flexible, with caring hosts who were always available. It truly felt like a home, and we were a family working as a team. An absolutely fantastic experience that I would recommend to everyone! Thank you!

It was an amazing experience that I'd love to repeat! Since day one you will feel welcomed by Adriana and Roberto. I helped with cleaning and reception so the tasks are easy to complete and the schedule can be flexible if you discuss it with Adriana to suit yours and the hostel needs. Even though it was low season I had a great time, you'll get to explore around the city or socialize with the locals. Thank you for everything Adri, I'll be back ❤️

I had a lovely time volunteering at the Poolhouse in El Salvador. Adri and the Poolhouse family made me feel at home and are such lovely people. The Poolhouse is a very small and intimate hostel and the entire team including Adri, Roberto, Mimi & Gigi (The hostel cats), Coco the dog and the two turtles all make it a great place to volunteer and stay. There is a weekly pupusa class every Monday which is lots of fun and I have become a bit of a pupusa making expert. The daily tasks are easy and involve cleaning and reception. Loved my time here and highly recommend it :)
