The Experience

End of oxtobwr/november it's that time again, our olives want to be picked from the trees and the trees pruned for next year. We harvest with the whole family and usually have a good time together. We try to pick in sunny weather, picnic under the trees and in the end, have our wonderful olive oil. You don't need any experience, you learn everything with us, bring motivation and have fun working outside. We look forward to seeing you 😊

The experience I had with Nina, Uwe and there two daughters was amazing. They're a very warm and kind family, always made me feel welcome, never let me be hungry and always happy to help you if your in need of anything. There land is so beautiful on its own with out the added bonus of the many animals they have. A experience I will never forget, I truly recommend to anyone who is looking to emerge in wilderness and live remote. You will have an amazing experience!

We both had a lovely time! The family were absolutely lovely and couldn't have been more welcoming! The work was very rewarding and accurate to what was agreed upon. The animals were also a massive bonus! We went on some fun adventures off the farm but you can only really leave with the family as it is very remote. We were well looked after! We look forward to coming back and see the project prosper!

We had a lovely time Nina and her family! They made us feel very comfortable and welcome ❀ The land and animals are beautiful and so fun to be around! The work was rewarding, we helped with many jobs, including fencing, cleaning out the chickens, digging out foundations for the bathroom, planting trees and picking up lots of manure! We enjoyed working outdoors and watching all the animals interact. The daily life and work expected is very accurate to what is said on the Worldpackers description. The farm is very remote and there is currently no shower but building of this is underway! :)

I joined this host spontaneously and I couln't have felt more welcomed! Nina and Uwe are very nice people and they kind of took me in and I could join them for meals and also for free time activities. I even could visit a local festival with them and got to know their friends and neighbours. The amount of work is really fair and I had enough time to explore the beautiful nature around the farm, with their 2 lovely daughters and their dogs <3 <3. The animals live a good life on the farm and there's always a creature with paws and fur to cuddle I hope I can visit them again in the future!

Be really prepared to live truly off-grid, the place is remote (you cant do anything around other then walking) and you can only leave if the family takes you by car, you will live in a camper near the farm (be sure to close the door and look out for huge spiders- they are not dangerous byt surely not pleasant), bathroom is on the farm but its under construction so there is only compost toilet with no door and shower is only warm when is sunny. You also cannot use any hygenic products. However the family is great, helpful and fun, work is easy and fast and animals are really nice and friendly
