This was my first volunteer experience and it couldn't have been any better. Valerie is a great host, with a kind heart and a lot of dedication to her garden. I learned a lot about gardening, teamwork, getting to know Breton culture and French in general, and improving my French. This was one of the best experiences of my life, and I am very grateful to Valerie for teaching us so much and for hosting us in her home.

After a month with Valerie in my first volunteer experience, I couldn't be more grateful for everything this experience has given me. Valerie is a magnificent person, with beautiful energy, a lot of patience, and a contagious passion. From day one, she conveyed to me the love and dedication with which she tends her garden. I learned about permaculture, cooking tips, and Breton culture, in addition to sharing with wonderful volunteers. I discovered a corner of Brittany full of castles, history and magical beaches (and also a lot of sun). It was an experience I will always carry in my heart.

This experience has delighted me and I totally recommend it! It has been incredible in many ways. We were able to learn part of Breton culture, as well as visit beautiful beaches and harbors and some nearby cities. Valerie always provided us with maps and information to explore the surroundings by bike and, at times, by car; we practiced French and English. She speaks Spanish and English very well, and, of course, French. In the volunteer part I learned a lot about permaculture, about her way of thinking regarding self-sufficiency and how she contributes her grain of sand to create a beach!

The experience with Valerie was incredible, she is kind and conscientious in every sense. At the moment of working she respects the schedules, changes tasks to take care of our body, looks for tasks according to our abilities and what we feel like doing. She cooks very well, we never stay hungry :) You can feel comfortable in her house, she has all the amenities and by bike you can go to many places including the beach. It is really a place to disconnect since you are not in the city! She also helped me improve my French a lot, thanks for everything 🫶

We had a wonderful experience in Brittany Valérie is a kind, attentive, hardworking and passionate person; she makes you feel at ease as soon as you step through her door. In the morning she will teach you her Permaculture, at noon she will point out the best spots in the region for cycling, at dinner she will cook you the best chocolate creams from the Côtes-d'Armor, and in the evening she will share her passion for board games by the fireside.
