I stayed in Soc Son for a month and a half, and I have to say that my expectations were more than exceeded! He picked me up from the airport and also drove me back when I left. On top of that, he took me out several times for breakfast and to try typical Vietnamese dishes—he's incredibly kind! I was also provided with a scooter, which made it easy for me to get to the schools where I taught and to move around freely. Lunch and dinner were included, and Phuong's wife always made sure we had delicious meals waiting for us. The weekly teaching workload was exactly as expected; however, since

I very much enjoyed my month volunteering here. Everything was as described. There were 2 meals a day(very yummy), they gave us a motorbike, private room, laundry, airport pick up. Phuong & his wife were friendly & welcoming. I was too scared to ride the motorbike so they drove me to the schools. The hours were as described (although it was the summertime). They were also flexible with hours if you needed it. Overall I would recommend this experience, and one month is not enough time ! :)

I stayed for one wonderful month, and it was such a special experience. You'll teach at different centers, mostly private, and the job is easy and very enjoyable. The children are incredibly sweet. Tanhs always prepares lunch and dinner with so much care, and Phon makes sure you have everything you need. They even taught me how to ride a bike and gave me one, covered the gasoline expenses, and offered great flexibility. They truly make you feel like home :)

Phuong and José are great hosts and do everything to make you feel comfortable. The accommodation is excellent and very comfortable, and it's very nice to teach English to children and teenagers. However, sometimes your schedule can be quite full on the same day. So, if you work remotely it's important to talk to them about your working hours.

Staying with the host was unforgettable. Phuong was incredibly accommodating—taking us out for breakfast, helping set up Vietnamese SIM cards, getting us comfortable on scooters, and always making sure we had everything we needed. Truly, if you need anything, just ask. His wife was equally kind, regardless of the language barrier. She always left fruit trays or candy out. Both of them and the assortment of people we met in this house will always hold a place in our hearts. Their warmth and generosity made us feel completely at home, and we left feeling like part of their family!
