All I can say is that I was tearing up driving always from the host. Not only did they make you feel like family, their hard work & passion was inspiring. Their requests were simple and they let you create & freshen up whatever you wanted whenever you wanted. I would complete my work and go for lunch & to the beach, then more often than not I would find myself more projects to do “off the clock”. I appreciated them so much & I felt the least I could do was stay busy and help around their house. I fell in love with Lobitos, this beautiful family & their pizza. Thank you so so much!

My exchange with Miricarmen and family was fantastic. There are plenty of things that can always be done and the hours were flexible. I absolutely loved staying at the host. the host and Mari are amazing people, from the moment you enter you are treated like a member of the family - which I found really special. I got to meet many locals and made amazing connections in the surf community through staying there. The hours are very flexible, you can basically work when ever you want, as long as you fill your quota, which is another bonus. The rooms are very basic but all you really need. I would 10/10 recommend the work away. Lobitos has such a cool vibe, you won't regret coming!

My time at the host was incredible. Maricarmen is super kind, she made me feel very comfortable to do the tasks and I felt at home. I did surfing lessons with her son Bruno and took my first wave!! Walking the dogs was also one of my favorite parts (I already miss the 6!!) So even with the pizzeria closed, I had a lovely time and helped as I could. Thank you so much for everything! I loved meeting them! I already miss you all so much ❤️

My two-week volunteer experience in Lobitos was a very beautiful one. It's a small, authentic, and very pleasant town.
The work was good and was always done in a very positive atmosphere thanks to Marie Carmen, who is an incredible person, always smiling and kind. There was great camaraderie and I felt very comfortable throughout my stay.

The experience with the host was very good. We felt very comfortable, the atmosphere was familiar, the tasks to perform were simple and you could choose the schedule that best fit you. As part of the exchange they lent us surfboards, so I enjoyed learning about this sport.

My experience at La Casa de Nacho in Lobitos was excellent and I recommend it. Although the pizzeria was temporarily closed (I understand they will reopen in November), there are many tasks to be done and the schedules were flexible according to the tasks and the weather.
Mari, and her children Bruno and Mateo, are excellent people with whom I had very good communication and they helped me with some things.
I learned a lot about surf culture and taking care of the environment. Lobitos is a very quiet and relaxed place with incredible spots to visit.

It was a pleasure to do my volunteer work in Lobitos with the host. The communication with Maricarmen and Bruno was great and the tasks were very simple, but interesting.
