Program Details

Our mission is rooted in reconnecting people with themselves, their communities, and nature. We believe that many of today's challenges stem from the illusion of separation. Restoring these connections is key to our collective salvation.
By tackling challenges like poor waste management and invasive species, and by advocating for permaculture and holistic living, we aim to inspire a global shift towards a more sustainable and equitable world.

Activities & Shift

Shifts are 4 hs long and take place in the morning, although the schedule can be adjusted if all volunteers agree and the necessary arrangements are made at least one day in advance.
Tasks are adapted to the project's needs at the time of your visit.
Possible activities include:
- Daily cleaning and tidying of all workshop areas.
- Deep cleaning of all spaces (weekly).
- Waste separation and sorting
- Making sustainable jewelry from lionfish.
- Manufacturing items from recycled plastic.
- Carpentry (painting).
- Selling products at a street stall.
- Beach cleanups.
- Community events.
- And more...

Rules

For us, it is very important to:
-Keep the spaces clean and tidy.
-Separate and sort waste (we will provide the necessary information on how to do this).
-Use natural resources consciously and moderately.
-Be considerate regarding bathroom usage time, as it is a shared facility (serving up to 5 people).
-Be willing to handle various materials (we recommend, for example, avoiding very long or sculpted nails, as they make handling basic jewelry tools difficult) and be open to getting a little messy (e.g., when painting furniture).
-Maintain open communication.
-Please do not apply if you have an allergy to, a phobia of, or an aversion to mosquitoes, spiders, ants, cockroaches, toads, or mice. They are not part of Nura, but they do visit us occasionally. We do our best to prevent this, though the surrounding environment sometimes encourages their presence.
