My time at the farm was magical! Everyone there — Joana, Giovanni, Carla, and the children are all wonderful to be around! I learned so much about Alentejo through music, food, stories, and sightseeing while there. Most days, the work is not very strenuous. The meaningful conversations and wisdom bestowed upon me definitely made up for the difficult days :) Plus, having days off during the week really helps to reset and relax! I hope to visit again soon <3

Well this was my first solo travel and i ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. The work is a lot, especially during the summer, so you should go with the mindset you are going to be doing a lot. But it teaches you so so much. If you have the luck to meet Carla, congratulations you met the sweetest, unfiltered and caring person ever. She is going to teach you everything. Gio and Joana are so so nice, very approachable and funny. They took us to the hypermarket, picked us up from bus stop when needed, they even took me swimming with them and their amazing daughter. And Gio cooks amazing btw.

I really enjoyed my time at the farm! It's such a beautiful and peaceful property if you're looking to spend some time in nature. Joana, Gio and Carla were very welcoming and patient with teaching how to do tasks. The work mostly consisted of feeding animals, preparing breakfasts for guests/cleaning rooms, weeding and cleaning outdoor spaces. It's definitely hot in the summer, but volunteers are able to use the pool to cool down when there are no guests. This was a wonderful first WorldPackers experience and I would recommend it to others!

Joana and Gio were lovely and welcoming hosts! They fulfilled all our needs on the farm, including offering to take us to the doctor when we were sick. We did a mix of hotel staff work (cleaning/setting up rooms and preparing breakfast for guests) and work outside (mostly painting and weeding). Joana and Gio explained all tasks they gave us, and it was nothing too difficult. One thing to note is there is WiFi in shared spaces, but not in the bedroom itself. We met a lot of interesting people, ate a lot of good food, and learned a lot about Portuguese culture during our stay!
