I had an amazing time at the the hotel. The host is super friendly and invited me to meet his friends and go to cool events. The tasks are very easy to learn and the team at the hotel made it so easy to feel welcome and at home. The accomodation is located within the hotel, which was a huge benefit. I enjoyed my time and I would really like to volunteer again!

The hotel offers a tranquil escape. Hotel location, close to the main street, adds to it's authentic charm. Miguel is easy going, responsive, and always happy to provide clarification if needed. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing spot to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Bacalar. ☀️

This experience thought me what I truly love the most in life and gave in weeks the enough time to work on my executive tasks. “ The relax ambiance made it easy to feel at home. Staff 🏆. Volunteering at the hotel was a wonderful experience. The team made me feel welcome and part of their culture. Brayan's conversations were insightful and engaging, Marisol was incredibly caring, and Miguel was always cheerful, sharing tips and inviting me to fun parties. The relaxed ambiance made it easy to feel at home, and even the dog added a special touch! The warmth and kindness of everyone made my stay truly special. I'm grateful for this cultural exchange and the amazing memories I take with me.

This was my first Woldpackers experience & because of this HIGHLY recommended this Hotel. Do nor believe the one negative review on here, Miguel is really laid back, friendly & happy to give you recommendations on things to do in Bacalar & the hotel facilities are very nice and clean, the beds are very comfortable. You can use the kitchen to make your own food and the hotel Dog Maya is just a bonus. The hotel is a short walk from a supermarket so you can buy food, as well as being close to the lagoon. The work is realy easy and for the luxury of saying in the hotel I recommend

Save yourself from this host. When I arrived, I was told I had to sleep on a couch or share a bed with another volunteer. They said they would buy a bunk bed for us and it never happened. He was smoking weed and got high everyday which made me uncomfortable for management professionalism. He will blame you for small problems and make them a big deal when they could have been avoided with proper communication. He stopped buying breakfast for us for multiple days. This host has a lot of negative things to say when my time here was a great job. This alone says a lot. Too much bad energy here.

Spero che tu possa mettere a posto i tuoi problemi in testa, lo spazio per i volontari è super comodo, il cibo è finito perché doveva durare tre settimane e tu l\'hai mangiato tutto una settimana e mezzo prima, senza autorizzazione, e negando anche che fossi tu, non hai mai comprato il tuo cibo, hai mangiato il nostro cibo e quello dei tuoi colleghi, sei stato tu a lasciare una sigaretta di marijuana in una pianta all\'interno del dipartimento, sei una persona senza vergogna.

Mayanah a Bacalar è diventata la mia casa, un ambiente super piacevole per restare e lavorare, tempo per godersi la laguna, la piscina dell'hotel e continuare a conoscere. Miguel e Armando sono molto pazienti nell'insegnare e condividere la conoscenza della gestione del posto, molto rispettosi e amichevoli. All'hotel c'è un appartamento assegnato solo ai volontari che, nel mio caso, non ho dovuto condividerlo perché era l'unico, quindi mi sono trovato molto a mio agio, ma ho saputo che a volte ce ne sono due, quindi tocca condividere tra noi. Pianifico di tornare presto, grazie mille Mayanah!!

"Es mi segunda vez aquí y con gusto regresaría. Bacalar es un lugar muy tranquilo, ideal si buscas tiempo para ti y para conectar con la naturaleza. El trabajo es muy relajado, los horarios se respetan perfectamente y el anfitrión es muy amable y flexible."
