Pt1. Me and my girlfriend Summer stayed with Richard for a month. At first he struggled to adapt to our way of living but he made a real effort throughout our stay to resolve problems so we could coexist which I'm very thankful for. He would normally express negative emotions intensely but never held a grudge and there were no hard feelings after. The food he made was delicioso and there were really good portion sizes. If we wanted snacks we bought them from the shop.

Pt2. He usually allowed us to choose the work that was best suited to us, Summer isn't good with manual work so she painted and did easier tasks. I worked on digging a wall for most of my stay which was very difficult but rewarding for me. Richard brought a keyboard from his fathers house for me to play which I am very thankful for. He was particular about passing through his space which is understandable but something to remember. The property itself is amazing with lots of cute animals and fresh eggs. The surrounding area is lovely, with rivers and mountains nearby.

The volunteers I had the opportunity to work with were very nice, and I have learned a lot from them and from their lifestyles in their respective countries. The experience was amazing. Richard is one of those people you'll remember for the rest of your life; for his way of being, his cooking and his craziness. The work in the proyeto can be intense or light depending on the day. There's a lot of work to do, but I leave happy to have added my grain of sand. The place is wonderful, there are plenty of corners where one can disconnect. If you want to go to the city, you have to walk 15 minutes and then take a bus or a train, and in another 10 you're in the city. Bilbao is amazing, a city perfect that I encourage everyone to know.
